Other Color OptionsVanessaI would love to see this bed in black or gold! I love the design but the white does not go with my room theme and I do not feel like DIY'ing it.
Couldn't assembleFinleyThis bed is beautiful quality, however not only are all of the pieces identical and hard to differentiate, i couldn't get past step ONE. I've built many IKEA pieces, and I'm not sure if it's a fabricator issue, but the posts for the headboard that are supposed to click into the side pieces don't actually fit in the little holes. The pieces are meant to have a curved component so it clicks into the slot, however the curved piece is too thick or the hole its supposed to fit into is too small, and no amount of force or readjusting got it to click into place. :(
Nightmare assemblyDeidreThis bed frame is super heavy which was surprising. It was a very tight fit for our juke and a struggle to get in doorways/elevator. I've never had an issue with a Ikea assemble before, keyword BEFORE. none of the parts are labelled and with pieces that look nearly identical this is an issue. I spent 20 minutes with a piece that looked identical to another struggling to figure out why they weren't fitting. None of the hardware (screws, etc) are labelled they're all tossed into one big bag loose which is very un-Ikea. The instructions (I follow very closely) don't even list the bed parts to verify you have everything before you start. Assembly has been a nightmare with constant cross threading and screws jamming halfway in or falling through the massive screw holes and ending up inside the hollow headboard and footboard(there's nothing to stop them). It's almost as if Ikea didn't put much thought into this product, it's no wonder why there was no floor model.
