Rough…RebeccaWill be returning this. I opened it, with high expectations as we use IKEA protectors on all of the other beds in our house, but I was surprisingly disappointed. The texture was honeycomb like, with all the little holes, and it wasn’t soft to the touch. Even adding a sheet ontop would not be adding any sort of comfort or taking away from the unsmooth texture. And as babies like to drag their fingers and nails in their crib for boredom and to create a scratchy noise almost like a fun fidget, this would be SO loud for this, it would drive someone nuts lol. It went straight back into the package so I can’t comment on its waterproofing quality.1

Defective product, don't recommend. EleanorWe washed the protector according to instructions (cold wash, low dryer). The plastic lining layer melted in the dryer, covering dryer drum with plastic and rendering the sheet unusable. The store employee said that this was not normal, but refused to exchange for a new one because the purchase occurred 8 months ago. This is not acceptable given that the product was clearly defective. Do not buy this. 1
