The rail can be mounted to the wall or ceiling using appropriate fittings.

1 single track rail (length 140 cm), 2 ceiling fittings, 2 connectors and 2 end caps.

2 ceiling or wall fittings are needed for one 140 cm track rail. To build a longer track rail, add another wall fitting for every 140 cm for stability; sold separately.

Wall fittings and screws are not included.

Max. load: 5 kg.

When mounting ceiling brackets/fittings ensure a distance from the wall to allow opening/closing your curtain without obstacles like a protruding window sill, radiator or window handle getting in the way.

May be completed with 1 or more VIDGA glider and hook/24 pack to create more pleats.

Easy to Install and Cut TrackErinI installed the Vigda system with wall brackets and also another with the ceiling mounts all myself. Both were easy to install. The modularity of the system is great to be able to span long lengths. The aluminum track was easy to cut with a hack saw. Make sure your saw is meant to cut metal. I wish it came with drywall screws though.5

We needed 3 lengths/2 joints and the curtains catch a little at the joints. The runners are plastic so we will see how long they last. 5
Can't find the right size screw to install on ceiling.JohanneYou think IKEA would have the common decency to tell us what size of round screw head is supposed to be used with the Vidga rail. I started with 10, and am now down to 8, and still, the rail won't snap into place. There is no information either on the website or in the instructions, and IKEA's chatbot is a labyrinthine experience in poor AI, with both it and the "customer service" person I finally got in touch with serving me the same instructions I'd already pored over. What a maddening, colossal waste of time! These curtains should have been up two weeks ago. The ladies at my local Canadian Tire are beginning to call me by name, as this was my third return to get screws. And with the price of gas nowadays, I am not amused. IKEA already screwed me once last year by not delivering the sofa bed I ordered, and now this...! I used to be an assiduous IKEA buyer, but they've gotten on my last of many nerves!1

Cut with hacksaw….how?JuliaI purchased this as the description says it can be cut to the size needed with a hacksaw. Well, after trying for far too long today and making far too little progress, I gave up. Came back here to check and see if I had made a mistake - nope, it’s in the description. How does one cut this material with a hacksaw? Not impressed as I’ll have to purchase another unit.1

DO NOT BUY (Unless you hire an expert Ikea TaskRabbit)BridgitteThis is one of the worst Ikea products I have ever purchased and I've been shopping at IKEA for years. If you're going to sell a curtain track system, at least have clear SIGNAGE on the product, in your store or online that you need additional accessories, that are sold separately in order to use this product. Not only did I have to use a handsaw, and then a jigsaw to cut this down to size, the actual installation took me so long (2.5 hours) that I eventually just quit. I spent $25 on a track system that is poorly designed, required me to go to IKEA twice to get all of the supplementary pieces once I realized that the single rail did not include everything I could possibly need. And now after all of that, I have to go back to IKEA to see if I can get my $25 back because this item is awful.1
Was hoping for better.LatrichiaI purchased these to update our old curtain hardware system from the 60’s and they were starting to yellow and bend. I was hoping these would glide smoothly but unfortunately they get caught at the connection point of two rails, the connection also seems flimsy. I wish you could buy more bracket mounts. You only get 3 with each pack. My curtains run 20feet and I would have like to be able to add one or two more hanging mounts because my curtains are long and heavy. Also I am not sure how well the plastic hooks will stand up over the long run. They look much nicer than my old ones but unfortunately do not work any better.3
Don't likeArturThey made these complicated and I don't trust the clips to hold heavy drapes over baseboard heaters. Also mounting clips are not included at this price.1
