Ultimate ShelvingVaughanI was looking for shelving which would facilitate my kitchen appliance garage. I combine two ikea refrigerator cabinets and utilized the shelving to facilitate the vast variety of kitchen appliance that we have acquired. Dealt with a gallley kitchen and opportunity to reposition the washer dryer in the basement enable this 48” x 80” cabinet to become a reality. The 24”x 24” shelving covered off a variety of fixed and pull out shelving. The shelving is durable, amble in size and well support plus having everything encapsulated in one large cabinet makes the galley kitchen far more efficient in terms space utilization.5

A great shelf StephanieWhat to say but a great buy, it's a great shelf for your sektion system. My cabinet was a discontinued one, even though it was purchased 2 weeks apart.. it worked, the holes were a little off but it worked regardless. I'm happy with it.5
Measurement are not accurate!AnonymousI bought the 15 x 14 3/4" Utrusta 2-pack of shelves. Was surprised when I went to put inside my Ikea cabinet that the shelf was only 13 x 13 1/2". Returned of course and staff did not care that misinformation was online or that the shelves in their warehouse were not correct. Even had a staff member ask me if I installed the shelf right?! And they also tried saying the measurements online are for the cabinet and not the actual shelf. So disappointed that a $12 item has wasted so much of my time.1

Do not go by "size" measurementsYvonneMake sure you check the "measurements" for precise sizing as those listed are for the cabinet, not the shelf. I see several others have made similar comments. Hopefully Ikea fixes this soon!1

I love this shelf I use it on top of my washer and dryer as a folding area. I used a foam type flat line to keep it from moving! Everyday use for me.

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.

Our kitchens must withstand a lot. The shelf test is just one of our many quality controls. We load a 31 1/2" wide shelf with 150 lbs, for a full week. The shelf may not bend more than a few millimetres - that proves it can withstand demanding everyday use.
