The fabric gives very good protection against the sun’s UV rays as it has a UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) rating of 25+, which means it blocks 96% of the ultraviolet radiation.
Tilt function provides protection from the sun all day long.
The durable fabric is woven from recycled polyester and is removable and can be machine washed.
The hook-and-loop strap keeps the fabric in place when folded.

Good but not greatFrancisIt's a perfectly sized umbrella for my balcony but it doesn't last long. It tears easy at the corners with a bit of wind, so Ikea needs to make these a bit more robust.

Blocks sun but doesn’t last longCindyThis umbrella is the perfect shape for our small and oddly shaped south facing deck. I can tilt it and it helps block the worst of the mid-day sun. However, it is fragile. It cannot be out in the wind. It doesn’t even like the rain much because it rusts very quickly. After a couple of weeks, the fabric has started to rip at the corners. This is a one season umbrella. I wish IKEA would make a better quality umbrella in the size and shape. Would gladly pay more.
Love but…ChristineLove everything about this umbrella but it’s very hard to open unless you are really strong. I’m hoping that it will be easier to open as we use it.

The structure is not very strong so don’t leave up in any wind. The umbrella bends to block sun which is very convenient. The quality has issues there is rust developing after one month purchase which is unfortunate and the fabric of the umbrella is plastic and feels cheap quality.
