Product details

By having a bunk bed instead of two single beds, you free up some much-needed square metres on the floor for playing and other activities.

Easier to make the beds and give your children a good-night hug since the bed is lower than other bunk beds.

A good solution where space is limited.

It’s easier to get in and out of the bed with a centered ladder.

The children can put their own stamp on their little nook of space by choosing bedding that they like.

Poor instructions and designChrisThis bed needs better instructions, clear and concise. To put this together is an absolute nightmare. Whoever created this design is a sociopath. Getting the mattress flats put together is the most illogical design I've ever witnessed in my life. I have a few words in mind I'd like to share but I won't. Don't buy this bed, unless you're a person who is psychotic and loves unnecessary challenges. they should make some pieces into 1 whole piece, it would make sense. To build this bed it'll take approximately 2 hours - 4 hours. Multiply that by 25 bucks an hour, you may as well just get an easier build alternative. 1
As expected, perfect for small spacesKaylaThe perfect bunk bed for a small space. This is great for someone who lives in a small apartment. My daughter loves her top bunk and she's only 5. It's a very short (in height) bunkbed but also has a good amount of room for sleeping (twin). A lot of reviewers complained about the instructions not being clear enough, once you get past the first step, it's pretty much all downhill from there and easy to assemble. I gave it 4 stars based on how the instructions were printed. YouTube tutorial helps for those that are having a hard time.4
I have 2AlexaI bought my first one for my girls. Took a bit to understand where all the parts went but got it together and it fits perfectly in their room and looks appealing to the eye I had to buy another one for my son. Their worth it 5
ExcellentBettyNot too high. Great for young kids! 5
Sturdy but assembly is the worst.BarryThis was by far the worst ikea product I have ever assembled. Imagine lifting an unsecured bed base and having to attach it via screws while trying to keep it intact because the fabric doesn’t actually hold the frame poles in place. On top of that, the poles for each frame are so tight you can’t do this at an angle and must go in straight.2
Valuable, understandingRemyaValuable, understanding3
Not Sturdy at allMaryam from the first day makes Creaky noisy sounds and shakes also like it will fall down I don't recommend it.2
Not comfortableHussainTop part specially is composed of bars which are uncomfortable to sleep on. IKEA's foam mattress for the same size is useless with this bed. There's lot of cloth material used which is not strong and has lot of wear and tear4
GoodHanaIt is very hard to installation and from fist day it cut3
Keep plenty of time to put togetherAnonymous reviewerKeep plenty of time, the assembly of the bed takes a long long time, it is just crazy the way it's built.3
Excellent valueDanielleWe bought this bunk bed for our preschooler as her first big girl bed. It's great! The bottom bunk is as low as a toddler bed and the ladder acts as a rail to stop her from falling out! It is super sturdy and when we have climbed up on the top, it feels safe and sturdy as we crawl around. I love that the top bunk is lower as I will feel more comfortable about her being up there in a few years as it isn't too high (about chest height at the top of the rail, I am 5'6), and the fully enclosed railings with the mesh will help keep her, and any little treasures she brings up, on the top bunk!5
good looking but I feelAmitgood looking but I feel must be little more strong5

Great bunk bed!TeresaPerfect sized bunk bed for small children. It’s not too high and the mesh looks nice as well as being more breathable. My granddaughters love it. Not only do they enjoy having it to sleep in during sleepovers, they like to go to the top to play.5

TUFFING Bunk bed frame, dark gray, Twin

A bed for new perspectives

Life is pretty good here at the top of the bed. Teasing younger siblings can be kept at a distance, and when mum or dad says good night, the height is just perfect for a hug. Both bunk beds and loft beds are good choices when you want to create more space in a smaller area. With TUFFING, we also managed to make more bed from less material.

We made TUFFING bunk bed and loft bed of stable steel and mesh fabric, and somewhat lower than other bunk beds. It means less use of material and that each bed weighs less to transport.

Kids don’t think about safety, so we do

By centering the ladder, the loft bed became more stable. The ladder also serves as a guard rail for the bunk bed – because children’s beds should be safe places, no matter if you are in the middle of play or deep in the world of dreams. That is why our children’s beds undergo rigorous furniture tests. The industry’s safety standards are very strict, but we take it further. When working with TUFFING, we focused especially on avoiding gaps and openings where small hands and feet can easily get stuck. When we had a model of the bed, it underwent two weeks of intense fatigue tests where the bed frame was continuously exposed to strong forces.

A place for kids to recharge

Throughout the design process we took part in research results from Dr Barbie Clarke, a child psychologist with many years of experience in research about children and their development. She explains the role of the bed: “When we do global research, the children we interview often say that their bed is their favourite part of the home. It is something they can call their own; ‘This is mine, my space’. Even if they share a lot of other things, the bed is often a private area that helps them work out who they are, rest and recharge.”

Material

What is steel?

Steel has unique characteristics when it is stretched and shaped since it remains strong. It provides strength to everything from skyscrapers and cars to bed frames and outdoor furniture. The steel industry is moving in the direction of more energy-efficient production and stronger steel qualities. It doesn’t lose any of its properties when recycled and today steel is one of the most recycled materials in the world.

Lowest price

Don’t let the price fool you

TUFFING bunk bed has passed the same strict safety tests as all our other bunk beds. We just used other materials, made it lower and replaced the guard rail with the ladder. All to make it exactly as safe to sleep in – just a little cheaper.
