disappointedMaythe bins do not stay in the grooves very well. when toddler pulls the bin out by even 3inches results in it sliding out of the grooves.
This product is defective. Search for alternatives OleksandrThis is probably my first review of Ikea products ever, because all the things before were perfect or fine. However, this one - its officially the worst ikea furniture I ever bought. This product has a perfect reviews, but if you check another one (completed, with containers for toys) you might notice reviews that this product is defective. Spoiler: it really is. Dont spend your time guessing that you will figure it out. The most likely its just the mistakes on the manufaturer side, because even the first couple of pieces do not allign with the holes according to the instructions. And yes, I assembled tens of Ikea products and even when I had some conserns, I was able to assemble the product fully. But here - it’s not the case at all.
Of course I’m going to return it, and pretty sure Ikea will accept it, but noone will return the time and effort spent on this. Even though the concept is amazing, it’s not worth it.
Not satisfied with the customer servicesQiuyanI bought two Trofast frames/white stained pine but received only one. Probably because there were too many items and the count was done incorrectly. I have tried to contact customer services for two days and only robot responded. Not helpful at all.
Exactly what was neededKirstenIt sits at the foot of the guest room/craft room bed and is the perfect space to sort the needed materials for a variety of crafts. Easy to set up and fabulous to have.

Poor qualityBinghouAfter spending 30-40 minutes on the assembly, just when I was about to finish, I discovered a long crack on the side panel. I’m extremely disappointed. The quality is poor.
Don’t buy itJuliaDuring the Black Friday sale, I saw a few reviews saying the boards don’t align. I gave it the benefit of a doubt cause I know some people are not great with instructions. I also got it at half off so I was trilled to pick it up. When I was putting together the base, true enough the holes don’t match. The only way I could align the base and the side is if I remove 4 of the 6 wooden pegs. Now, when I put on the metal screws, only 2 of the 3 would fit. I have pictures to prove that even when the sides line up, the holes would never. The holes are clearly seen outside the panels. It’s such a waste of time. It’s like they put it on sale to get rid of bad inventory. >_< And now they are giving the hardest time to post this review.
Great for toy storage!NadineWe have 2 Trofast systems now in our son’s playroom. It’s a great way to store all his toys and still have them accessible to him when he plays.
Pretty but not great qualityMaudeThis must be the worst furniture I bought from IKEA. I had to exchange the first one because some pieces were not square. The second one: same! So I found a way to make it works because I didn't want to buy a third one.
But in the end, it's cute and it serves its purpose.

These are awesome. Not just for kidsAmandaThese are great for all sorts of things if you have people who are visual and like to see where stuff is or need things to be easy to put away. We use these for camping stuff too. That way we can just take an entire box of stuff from storage and move it into the camper for the year easily and then back when we winterize. I am thinking about doing this for seasonal stuff like mittens/hats.

Perfect for toy storageBrandyThis shelf is amazing for keeping toys somewhat organized. The bin sizes can be selected to meet individual needs (e.g. larger size for holding bigger items such as stuffies or jars, smaller bins for medium items like LOL dolls). We were surprised to find that the shelf held all of the contents formerly stored in a large plastic storage container (with some extra room!), but now the kids can actually find their toys. Bins slide in and out relatively easily so the kids have no problem accessing or putting away their toys.
