The bulb is not suitable to use with hardwired dimmers.

The color temperature can be switched between 2200 Kelvin (warm glow), 2700 Kelvin (warm white) and 4000 Kelvin (cool white).

The light from this LED bulb feels as strong as the light from a traditional 40W incandescent bulb.

Not strong enoughMelizaWe really had hoped to replace our SOLHETTA with this smart version. But 450 lumen is absolutely NOT enough, we can barely see anything. And because this is a pendant light above a dining table, a regular bulb shape wouldn't look good... So we will have to revert and refund. If IKEA team reads this: you absolutely need to make a 1100 lumen TRADFRI in that shape! :(2

Not DimmableMichaelI was not able to dim these light bulbs, even with a Lutron LED dimmer. The bulbs are well priced and worked well but I needed them to be dimmable. 3
4000k is not cool whiteSamanthaBought these bulbs for my windowless bathroom, along with the Styrbar controller. If the light is on in a room and doesn't match what the current outdoor environment is, it makes me feel uncomfortable and almost ill (silly, I know). My previous, standard daylight bulbs made me feel like I had a dose of espresso when I'd use the bathroom after sunset for m bedtime routine, so that needed to change. I was super excited for these bulbs, and overall I'm pretty happy with them. They to from very bright to very, very dim, which is great for a soothing bubble bath ambiance. My only gripe though is that it doesn't go to a real cool or daylight white like 5500k, which is what I wanted for daytime use, like putting on makeup accurately and whatnot. The "cool" white still has a noticeably yellow, even almost greenish tone. If this bulb went to 5000k or even better, 5500k, I'd repurchase it in a heartbeat, even if it meant sacrificing the warmest setting.3
