Clean with a duster.
The hands are set using the dial on the back of the clock mechanism. Moving the hands directly with your fingers can destroy the clock mechanism.

The sweep second hand is a nice touch, rarely seen in an inexpensive little clock like this. I like the yellow colour as it’s a little different.
Can't see it in the darkDarrylI like it's size and style, but it's absolutely useless by the bedside because you can't see the dials in the dark, and the clock have doesn't illuminate. It might be good to have in a work desk or something, but if your looking for a bedroom clock, look elsewhere.

Clock hands stopped working after a weekSissiThe clock and alarm worked well for the first few days. After a week, the minute and hour hand had stopped responding even though the second hand was still spinning. I tried a new battery (both batteries I tried were from Ikea), and the clock was still broken, when it did spin after some shaking, it was constantly minutes behind. Ended up returning.
Clock arms stopped working a week after purchase.SissiThe clock and alarm worked as described for the first few days, but after a week, the minute and hour arms stopped moving. The second hand was still spinning but there was no change in the minute and hour hands, leading to the alarm not ringing the next morning. I thought the battery had died just after a week, so I put in a new battery (both from Ikea) and had no change. Ended up returning.

Such a cool designFrancoisI haven’t even put batteries in it. It’s just sitting there on my night table, being cute and design. Reminds me of a German alarm clock. It’s a simple nice piece of plastic. Guess it can also tells you the time and serve as an alarm but I don’t care, it’s beautiful.
Small, Compact, Perfect JanetThis is exactly what I want for a night table. Easy to operate. No ticking noise. Only needs 1 AA battery. The alarm is loud enough. One drawback, there is no adjustment for alarm sound level.
Constantly rings! LaurenFrom the moment I put the battery in, the alarm rings! It will not stop. Doesn't matter if I have it in the "off" position or not. Worst clock ever. Mostly I'm disappointed because now it's more garbage that we have added to the planet.

The alarm also doesn't always go off (yesterday it didn't go off at all and today it went off randomly 30 min after the set time). Lastly the icons for the switch on the back is confusing: the volume icon (which would mean volume on) is the off switch for the alarm. Cute but useless.
Clock hands do not move although battery is in and alarm works.PriyaI put a battery in and the alarm function works so I know the battery is fine, but the minute, hour, and second hands do not move :( I am sad because I got this clock because my grandmother had one of the original designs and I wanted it because of the nostalgia (original way better-even had a small light in the corner). Does the clear plastic piece sticking out of the battery part need to come out?? I tried really hard to take it out but it did not budge.
