The only thing I miss (basing this on my previous purchases of this lamp) is the on off switch being on the top of the lamp ( now it is a switch on the cord) Thank you for keeping things affordable Ikea !3

Used with drafting deskLorraineWe have only had the lamp for a short time about a week or two. So far, the lamp works well, was easy to set up and looks good. We purchased for my son to use on his art/drafting style desk, where the desk has a slanted top. I am assuming that due to this slant of the desk the lamp can only lean to the one front forward position and will not stay if moved from side to side. It always returns to the forward front. This does not bother my son at all, he still loves it. I don’t think he realizes it should stay when moved.
I just wanted to add, after reading some of the previous reviews I was a little worried about the on/off switch being on the cord. However, since the switch it is very close to the base it has not been a problem at all and is easy and convenient to use.4
