This tears!TracyThis tore almost immediately, just moving it from the car into my office space, so is not particularly durable. Would not recommend.1
Please use different price stickersPippaI like the mat, but cannot for the life of me get the price sticker off, which is very frustrating.3
Cork placemat replacementsSarahWe were looking for the cork placemats that used to be sold at IKEA and saw these desk pad. It’s bigger so it covers half my table. Works the same as a placemat.4

Product sticker adhesive ruins productChrisDon't waste your money. This would have been great had it not been for the high tack sticker placed around one of the corners. It left a dark sticky mark that just got darker with goo gone. Tried washing it and it warped the cork.1
Could be really good but...AndreI needed this, so I bought two, as I suspect it won't last forever. Unfortunately, it comes with a narrow stuck on label across one corner on both sides that is glued on extremely well. It takes about 15 minutes to pick all the pieces of the label off, but then you are left with a strip of sticky glue that you can see and feel. Whoever decided to glue a label onto this nice cork product should definitely NOT be winning employee of the year. Really. Both mats are ruined. I can't imagine the thought process that went into deciding to glue a label onto it. Each now has a sticky, visible stripe that stands out. Even if there was a way to remove it, why put something like that on cork? It simply does not come off. I am surprised at IKEA, and cannot recommend this product. I may have to return both. Someone was simply not thinking.1
SmellyIoanaVery good looking and useful but it smelled like mold for days.4
Nature friendly cork padSerhiiThe pad is great, it remains flat on my desk, and doesn't slide at all. I'd prefer it to be at least 1mm thicker. And it almost doesn't shed apart like other brands. However, I use it in for PC keyboard/mouse, and it is too short for my application. It is not designed to use with a full-size keyboard and a mouse, it's short of 4-5 inches for comfortable mouse movements.3
Perfect addition to protect myDorisPerfect addition to protect my desk surface.5

What is cork?

Cork comes from cork oak bark which is carefully cut from the tree’s trunk. It then takes about nine years until the tree forms new bark that can be harvested. Since a cork oak can live to be aged 150-200, each one produces a lot of cork during its lifetime. Cork has several good qualities as a material: it’s lightweight, flexible, waterproof and naturally resists fire. The cork we use in furniture and accessories is made from cork waste that’s compressed into larger pieces.
