Distorted glass, pricey, difficult to hangAmandaHad this for a couple years and finally had to get rid of it because I couldn't stand looking in it- the mirror is so badly distorted it was like a fun house mirror. And somehow over time, the distortion just kept getting worse. It was also difficult to hang with the anchor being on both the top and bottom and it rubbed against the wall which chipped the paint and ripped off the drywall when it was removed. I also feel the price point was not reflective at all of the quality, size or design of the mirror- $80 feels incredibly steep. $50 would be more reasonable IF the mirror was actually of quality. The design and shelf are great, but the glass and price point need intervention. Further, after needing to replace this one, I went with the Maristova and had the same issue with the glass- something I'd never faced with Ikea before. Not sure what's going on in developement/production but I expect much better from Ikea!1
How to hang?AnonymousI love the mirror but how the heck is the right way to hang it? No hanging instructions or bracket included.4

What is mirror glass?

Mirror glass comprises mostly of ordinary glass with a reflective coating in some kind of metal. In the past it was common for the coating to contain lead or mercury – but over time, both of these metals have been shown to be harmful to people and the environment. That’s why, as of several years ago, IKEA has a total ban on using lead or mercury in our mirrors and instead it is non-toxic silver or aluminium that reflects your mirror image.
