SÖDERHAMN seating series allows you to sit deeply, low and softly with the loose back cushions for extra support.
Light, airy design with high legs and slim lines, yet still a great comfort thanks to the elastic weave in the bottom and high resilience foam in the seat cushions.
The sofa's sections can be used freestanding or combined in different ways to get a size and shape that suits you and your home.

Not even last for 1 yearCholeThe sofa's leg broke after only about 360 days of use — not even a full year. We reached out for a warranty claim but haven't received any response. Very disappointed with both the product durability and the customer service.
6 Years Old and Still Love itNatalieI bought this couch in lockdown, in 2020. Unfortunately at the time, due to the situation there were limited colours and limited number available, at the time the only colour available was turquoise. The original cover was quite industrial and thick, not quite what I had hoped for. I made a new gold velvet cover for it, and it has been the most beautiful, comfortable, stylish couch. I have moved it twice since purchasing and it completely comes apart to fit inside itself when moving (brilliant). It is so comfortable and practical. I have slept on it many nights and guests have slept over on it. I lounge on it, write papers on it, watch movies on it. I can honestly say, it is the best piece of IKEA furniture that I have ever purchased.
Disappointing, Low QualityJenniferI wrote a review on this previously but it has been removed. I bought it because of all the good reviews but after a year the seat sags to the point of being extremely uncomfortable and if you look online their are so many posts about how to attempt to improve it but they take considerable work and money and honestly they should not be necessary. The cushions are bevelled on the edges adding to the lack of comfort, online you will find hacks for that too and they are very thin. They zip into place but no matter what you do they slide apart leaving a large gap (3-4 inches) between them. It is way too low for the average height person, we got new legs for it. By the time we fixed the major problem we had spent a few hundred dollars and a great deal of effort. Look it up on reddit to see all the issues before you buy this. In the showroom they have the older better version of it so when i went in to try it it seemed good. Very misleading. Wish i had never bought it
Didn’t stand up to timeChristinaI bought this could with the lounge and arm rests a year ago. It’s already falling apart. The foam in the cushions is deteriorating and thinning. We hear so much flex in the wood, even with tightening the hardware. I’ve had an ikea couch before that lasted over 10 years with young children, but this one didn’t last even the year. I’m now going to have to replace my couch, which isn’t cheap. I always choose IKEA because the price is right and quality has never been an issue. Until now. Very disappointed in the quality, and heartbroken I spent so much on crap furniture.
Minor issues but mostly love it Anonymous reviewerPurchased this in 2018 in Finnsta turquoise. We changed the covers to Viarpe Beige in 2021. It's a lovely colour but my only gripe is that it's less durable than the turquoise one. The beige one pills and has thread pulls easier than the last fabric. The couch structure itself is still pretty good considering it's age. However we also purchased an additional section in 2021 and that seat is a bit saggy.

Quality has dippedDanBought one years ago and it was an awesome sofa. Bought another in 2022 and the quality has dipped substantially. Cushions lost shape within a month and it feels less stable. The zipper on the cover broke and had to be returned. The cushions losing shape has been the main issue, it makes the couch a lot less comfortable than prior iterations.

Pretty good CouchKourtneyThis couch is very comfortable and I like the design (although more options for cushion covers would be great). Removable and washable covers are so helpful. It feels strong.
I took a star away as the cushions zipped to the base move a lot. So you have to pull them back into place or you're sitting in a gap between them. As well, after I first washed the covers, they didn't fit properly on the cushions. The cushions look squeezed into the covers and sit funny as a result.

Really happy with this purchase!LauraI've had my Soderhamn sectional now for about 2-3 weeks and I like it. So far my only criticism is that the one spot I sit in a lot turns out to be right on top of the space between two of the cushions, and it's hard because of the bar underneath, and it pushes the two cushions farther apart, so I've had to put a blanket in that spot to create a comfort zone for me when sitting there. I love that I can take the covers off to wash, and the fabric seems very durable. It was easy to assemble, and I plan on purchasing a second set of covers for the future if I need to replace any piece or just want a change. I love the look of this sectional, it's pretty comfy and I also love that it's modular so it can fit a variety of spaces. I highly recommend.
Sofa bedPaymonThis sofa makes a really good bed actually. It's not the most comfortable for sitting but its good enough for me. It's light and sturdy and I like how it looks a lot.
