Good value for a new kitchenConnieWe recently purchased an ikea kitchen for our home on a remote island. We used the kitchen planning tool and were assisted by staff who also supported our purchase. This service was quite good. Most of the kitchen components were P promptly delivered, however a couple of items were out of stock and took 3 months to arrive. Be prepared for that when planning your installation.

Assembly is trickyLeslieIkea really needs to improve the assembly instructions for this item. It's not clear that each of the drawer fronts has a specific set of internal parts (bottom, back and sides) which vary depending on the size of the drawer. All the boxes are the same size and are labelled the same way. The only way to tell them apart is to open them all and match them with the corresponding fronts. If you're building multiple units as in a kitchen you might not want all the boxes open simultaneously just to avoid losing track of parts. It shouldn't be difficult to label the boxes; they do it for other items. Saves taking apart and redoing when you make mistakes.
We could never get the drawer fronts to line up properly. There is a big gap between some and a tiny gap between others, despite adjusting as the instructions show. Just to be clear, this was assembled with the assistance of my son who is a mechanical engineer and has loads of building experience. It's not just that we're not very handy.

What is particleboard?
