Quality umbrella, but durability uncertainChrisGot this umbrella earlier this Summer. Assembly and setup were a breeze, and the umbrella is easy to use. It appears to have been designed and built to last. My only concern is I noticed a rusty spot last night. Apparently, washers are not stainless steel, which is disappointing... and a bit disheartening. Does that mean I should now replace all of them?3
Where did the replacement canopies go?BrianGreat umbrella, but Ikea seems to have stopped selling the replacement canopies, which was a major factor in my original decision to purchase. How does throwing out a completely good umbrella frame when I simply just need a new canopy align with Ikeas philosophy on sustainability?!? 1
Love it!LisaVery easy to put together, sandbags are much better than plastic bases - and filling them is easy! Love the thoughtful design. Mechanisms work great, holds up in the wind very well. I chose this umbrella over a $1300 one of a similar size and am glad I did! Wish it came with a cover, will purchase that separately. Also, why aren't replacement canopies sold in Canada? They are available on the U.S. Ikea site (article 005.320.13). Having that available in Canada would be the cherry on top!5
GREAT value for a patio umbrella of this size!AnonymousThis is the perfect size for an outdoor dining table or small seating area and the cost is WAY less than most comparable umbrellas.5
Solid.JoeLove that it’s easy to assemble, but also solid and stands up well to slight wind. For the base I used 4x 18” pavers (the thicker/heavier ones from a hardware store).
It also swings around so that I can either cover my loungers, or the dining area as needed.
I definitely recommend this. 5
Ordered Seglarö, got Skräp but then hjälpteMarkSkräp...that's Swedish for junk (according to Google). Ordered this online and arranged delivery. Was really excited to get this umbrella up on the deck. Unfortunately, I received what looked like a returned (and smutsig) and ultimately sönder (broken) umbrella. One of the arms of the umbrella was broken and bent right out of the box as was the umbrella's tie down clip for when it's closed. Oj då! But credit where credit is due...sent Ikea some pics while speaking with them via telephone and they immediately realized the need for an exchange. The only hassle now is unscrewing the base from the deck and waiting a couple weeks for the delivery and pick up. But, hej, at least I learned some new Swedish words today...just not the ones I would have liked. Adjö!2
