If you have a photo, you might want to have it in the very front, but an artwork on watercolour paper with a slightly handmade feel, is nice to place further back in the frame to emphasize the paper texture and give the motif more life,” suggests Andreas.

This frame fits with a picture that has dimensions 40x50 cm if you use it with the mount, and it fits with a picture that has dimensions 50x70 cm if you choose to use the frame without the mount.
The mount will not turn yellow since it is acid-free.
Screws for wall mounting not included. Different wall materials require different fixing devices, use devices suitable for your walls. IKEA recommends ALFTA adhesive hook. 2 ALFTA hooks needed.

Really cheap qualityTerenceIkea has gone so downhill in quality in the last 3 years, it's quite sad. These are easily the most frustrating picture frames I've ever had to work with. The finish of the corners of the frames are very very poor quality, with clear gaps showing, I don't even know how they passed QC checks.
But the worst part are the clear plastic piece they use instead of glass. The protective film you have to peel off creates so much static that it pulls so much little dust and debris that you can't easily blow off or wipe off even with a microfibre cloth... The debris ends up casting shadows on whatever you put underneath. Just terrible all around.

It arrived brokenSabrinaThe reason it's not 5 stars it's because it arrived broken. I was able to glue it together with some gorilla glue and left it clamped overnight, and it looks good. Note: If it arrives well, you get a 5 star, beautiful and stunning frame, but are also taking the risk of receiving a broken, 0 star, frame. -.-

Frames not only protect your photos and memories. They’re also good when you want to add the finishing touch to your interior. With RÖDALM, there are as many possibilities as there are motifs. You can use the frame to give your favourite painting or picture both more depth and the attention it deserves.
“Hanging something on the wall is a simple trick when you want to create a more homely feel or tie the interior in a room together,” says Andreas Fredriksson, the designer behind RÖDALM, a family of frames in different sizes, colours and wood expressions.

”We have also reinforced the back of RÖDALM to make it durable and prevent the frame from warping. That’s good if you change addresses often or enjoy refurnishing,” explains Andreas. He believes the pictures people hang on their walls can give clues about their lives and who they are, but how you choose to frame them can also be revealing. ”I enjoy creating collages using frames in various sizes and styles on a small wall surface, for example, old ornate flea market frames together with a modern frame like RÖDALM.” Then, the actual motif becomes less important, and a simple brushstroke on a beautiful piece of paper can be enough. “In the end, what’s important is not necessarily what you choose to hang on your walls, but that you put something up that feels like you.”

What is fibreboard?
Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
