The new ugly improved paxGrahamThe new pax was a lot lighter cheaper looking than the older pax. Ikea thought they improved it but they made worse. My client hated the seam in the back. and hated the additional plastic hardware at the top. I now have to find a way cover the ugly scene and passed by hide some of the ugly plastic at the top.3
Exactly what I was looking for ValerieI can usually follow the picture assembly instructions but the ones that came w this unit wa a little confusing 4
SturdyTheresaI resisted my instincts to not read the instructions and glad I did. Went together easily, and I’m impressed! I’d definitely buy this again5
Good product. BrianUse YouTube assembly instructions!5
Easy to assembleDeborahI love everything about it the only thing is that it came at different time5
Closet storageRonIt takes a bit of time to assemble but in the end it turned out pretty well.4
Pax 35cm deepMilijaVery good and flexible for storage spaces5
PAX reviewRonVery well made and thought out. Easy to build with minimal parts. 5
Good compact WarrobeNickI needed something that would fit in a small width space and this fit perfectly.
Assembly wasn't terrible but had to look u on youtube as some assembly pictures were not clear in what they were trying to convey. A QR code with video instructions would be useful.
When I went to install clothing bar rack noticed there were no holes up middle of wardrobe. In all fairness this is most likely because full size hangers don't fit in this but I had smaller hangers that do fit and I was ble to drill my own holes to install the clothing rack. Now looks amazing and very useful and functional.4
does the jobKristinaversatile, affordable and I like that i'll be able to add pieces down the road as my needs change5

Bad upgrade AnnaI love the pax system, but hate the upgrade
the previous design I was able to put together by myself. This one requires two people.3
The new wardrobes that I got this Oct have nice surprise - improved & smarter DIY assembly method!Anonymous reviewerThere DIY assembly is much smarter than and improved from the ones I got for my 2 other bedrooms only 1.5 and 2 year ago (1) the back fiber board is folded in 2 halves and glued to the 2 side wall boards instead of hammering 50 nails to have it secured (2) the top and bottom wood boards are secured to the side wall boards in a much easier way than the traditional screws and locknuts (3) the new long aluminum plate with a hollow track allows more wider choice of position (instead of the previous 2 fixed hole position) to screw & secure the wardrobe back to the wall. I have been a great fan of Ikea because of their continual DIY improvements! Initially I thought I need to learn all over again on its assembly but it turned out to be much more DIY assembly-friendly! 5

Very pleased with my purchase.DanielI am pleased with the result but found the instruction booklet difficult to understand. The company should have a booklet that's clear and easy to follow. I had to go back to the store to get help.4
Love my PAXJamesLast year, we purchased two 50x35x236cm units that we joined to make a pantry. (I went with the narrower units to have a shorter span on the shelves so they could support jars and cans - worked great, no sag). I added four drawers, and bought doors and handles that matched my existing cabinetry. Looks and works great one year later.
We recently purchased two 100x58x236cm units and a 50x58x236cm unit to make a wardrobe and additional storage unit. IKEA has improved (in my opinion) the design, making it easier to assemble. They also improved the method for attaching to the wall at the top, making allowance for baseboards that the previous version didn’t have. The first cabinet was a learning curve, the next two took half the time. If you’re joining cabinets together, make sure they’re plumb and level, join them, and then tighten the wall bracket screws.
We are very pleased with the finished results.5
