Makes a basic mattress comfortableAngelaWe purchased this item because our ikea basic mattress on a guest pull out bed was very hard . This mattress topper made a big difference and is very comfortable. We then purchased a queen topper in the same range for our own bed and it has reduced my back pain significantly. This was a less expensive solution to replacing a queen mattress.5

Too hard and too hotAnonymous reviewerThis mattress pad was a torture device for me. I let it off gas for one week, which seemed to be sufficient. I tried it for less than one hour, and had to remove it from my bed. It was sooooo hard! It caused pain in every part of my body that had contact with it. It seems to create a shearing force as you sink into it, and feels VERY HARD the entire time. It was awful. It is also VERY HOT! I had to throw off my blankets, even though it was very cool in the room, I felt like I was cooking. I have read that it can take up to 3 weeks for it to get softer, but there is no way that I will put my body through the pain and torture of it for three weeks! I DO NOT recommend this product. 1
