    Care

    The best way to extend the life of your wooden outdoor furniture is by cleaning it regularly and not leaving it outdoors unprotected more than necessary.

    Clean: Use a mild soapy solution. Wipe dry with a clean dry cloth.

    Maintenance: To prevent the surface from drying out and cracking, and moisture from penetrating into the wood, we recommend you to re-stain the furniture on a regular basis, for example once or twice a year.

    Storing: If possible, store in a cool dry place indoors. If the furniture is stored outside, cover it with a waterproof cover. After a rain or snowfall, wipe off excess water or snow from flat surfaces. Allow air to circulate to avoid condensation.

    To increase the stability of your furniture, re-tighten the screws at least once per season.

Nammaro stools using as side tables for matching arm chairs. Perfect.CathyYears ago I purchased 2 Nammaro arm chairs for my deck. They are heavy and sturdy and have held up very well. I reapply stain as needed. This year I purchased 2 Nammaro stools that I am using as side tables. They are the perfect height and are sturdy so not to get blown around in the wind. I love them. Have looked at them every year and finally purchased this year. Wish I did this earlier. The color of the stools is slightly lighter and more yellowish compared to the chairs. But I plan to stain them to match later in the season. I purchased stain when I bought the chairs so I have the exact match. So happy with my purchase.5

Almost perfect. Just difficult to collapse for storage.DavidIt's a great chair/outdoor table for the price. There's some roughness to the touch in the wood but no danger of splinters. The height is good as a side table or stool. The only issue is it's difficult to collapse again for storage. The legs lock in place under the table top with dowels and a plastic tab. It's quite difficult to push the tab far enough to get the leg frame past it and the dowels out to then fold up the stool.4
Almost PerfectRobertaWe are using this to be able to sit lower when looking in cupboards etc. It's well made, looks nice, good quality, but we are hoping the mechanism to fold it up loosens up after some use. It is very hard to collapse the stool.5

Not like they used to beDeborahI ordered 2 recently to add to my set existing 2 (bought 4yr ago) and the size and even stain colour is completely different and does not Match. Product photos shows a darker stain, the ones I received are a light oak colour!! Why ikea??? 2

Change in colour!RonWe purchased one of these side tables (marketed as a stool) to add to the patio furnishings and matching wood decking squares we had previously purchased at Ikea only to find that the stain colour has been changed! Very disappointing. We had plans to buy more chairs as well but will now have to return this item and look elsewhere for something that goes with what we already have. The reddish brown stain colour these items used to be (a stain which was also available in cans for doing touch-ups) was much nicer looking than this blah-brown. It's frustrating to find that what one has been collecting has been changed.3
Love it.RenateImproved version of a stool that’s been around for a while. Now has a clip underneath that prevents the stool from collapsing if you accidently bump it. Three of these stools put together make a great little patio coffee table.5

Sometimes it’s good to be square

When we developed NÄMMARÖ, we asked ourselves: what’s the best way to create really comfy and affordable outdoor furniture? We found one answer to the question in the design. By basing the whole series on a simple geometric shape, we managed to lower the manufacturing cost. That’s good news for your wallet.

“We want NÄMMARÖ to be easy to both take home and live with,” says product developer Anders Adler. He and the development team found a part of the solution in a simple geometric shape – the square.

One look, many possibilities

“We designed a frame that looks like a square with small legs,” explains Anders. It’s a shape that’s used throughout the series, from chairs to tables. “The frame gives NÄMMARÖ a uniform and contemporary look. It’s also modular thinking that simplifies the production and lowers the cost. And since NÄMMARÖ doesn’t have any curved shapes, the products are easy to pack in flat packages.” It contributes to a lower price and saves valuable space during transport – all the way from the factory to the customer’s home.

Create your own oasis

In the NÄMMARÖ family, you find sun loungers and chairs for long and lazy days, sofas for many guests and tables for intimate dinners or big families. “It’s about finding what suits you and your needs. NÄMMARÖ creates possibilities – for both different outdoor spaces and wallets.” The furniture is relatively light, so you can easily move it if you need to make room for more guests or stow everything away when the outdoor season is over. “It’s one of those small but important things that makes the everyday life on your terrace or balcony more convenient,” says Anders.
