This is a very important feature currently missing, for instance, Xiaomi motion sensor in their LED night lamp does send push notifications, that way one is kept aware of the occupancy in real-time.

Something is wrong and it's hard to figure out the problemAshwinHaving a product that has matter support is awesome, but this device (I bought 2) is extremely unreliable. My temperature sensor works well, it might be because the device gets activated more often than the matter temperature sensor, but it should have been designed better. It keeps disconnecting from the hub and I have no idea why. I need to know if it's a battery drain issue or something else. There is no way to know right now and I have to change battery every month almost. Doesn't make sense.

Works greatJeffAll their key eye products, plugs and lights connected instantly with the wireless products. I had a few problems but once I change my Wi-Fi setup and put the 2.4 in to 1 channel only rather than automatic and change the preamble from long to short then all the wireless products connected almost instantly. It did not even have to be sitting by the Hub. Great stuff! Also a reminder you must be running IPv6 for any matter over thread products regardless of manufacturer
Works well in HA, difficulty in pairing at firstSimonThis motion sensor exposes both an occupancy sensor and a light sensor, which are both very useful. Support in Home Assistant is complete. It works perfectly with regular Ni-MH 1.2v rechargeable batteries. I had trouble pairing it with HA at first. It took a few retries before the device was registered correctly. So far, it is the only IKEA Matter device that has failed to pair on the first try. The occupancy sensor requires light and constant motion during a certain duration before it switches to an "occupancy detected" state. It will not work in pitch black darkness and it will not detect occupancy if the motion is very short in duration. Overall, even though it has a few quirks, it's an excellent value.

Inconsistent, therefore nearly uselessNathanTaking advantage of Matter, I added this to my Google Home setup in order to turn off a smart plug when a room is left unoccupied. Well, guess what happens when an occupancy sensor works inconsistently. At some point while you're in the room it detects occupancy, then when it ceases to work it deems the room unoccupied and triggers whatever routine is associated with that state. I've tried and tried with this thing. I've walked into the room with my phone showing it status: half the time it switches as expected to "occupied," but half the time, when I walk to the same place in the same lighting conditions it refuses to switch to "occupied". If this needs a firmware update, I hope Ikea can transmit it without the Dirigera hub, because my experience so far doesn't incline me to spending another $100 on Ikea's "smart" devices.

works perfect with Samsung SamrtThingsIvanPurchased two of these products and connected to the Samsung SmartThings app seamlessly. Response time is fast and quick as well. Really nice product, compared to the previous Zigbee version.
