Not designed to retrofit older IKEA kitchen.AudreyOur IKEA kitchen is 12 years old and still in like new condition. Very happy with it. We had hoped to add these drawers to 2 of our deeper drawers to increase storage capacity, however, they didn’t fit. No doubt this is a good product. It just isn’t compatible with the older design. That’s very disappointing. I thought IKEA would create designs that could be retrofitted.5
Works great, pretty easy to installWilliamWe bought the extra drawer after we had our Ikea kitchen cabinets installed. After using our new cabinets we realized an extra drawer would be handy. It was pretty easy to install and works exactly as we planned. Just be careful you check carefully and order the correct drawer to fit your cabinet.5
nice drawers, but don't love the curve on bottom.DonnaThe build of these drawers are good. I don't like how I loose room because of the curve on bottom that appears you need because of the way adjustments are done. So I get it, but it takes our options and space away of what we use for dividers and how much the drawer can hold. But great otherwise.4
Difficult to installTedEven though we have installed MANY Maximera drawers over the last few years, they do not seem to get any easier or faster to install. Need to repeatedly refer to the installation instructions.3
We added them 5 years later to our Ikea cupboards with some challengesHenryWe added them to our ikea cupboards however we do have some difficulty getting them to pull out because of our homes and the spacing of our doors. One door is too close too the fridge and one too close to another door so we have to position the doors just right for the drawers to pull out. Otherwise we like them. Easier to find food items.4
