Who would have thought a little piece of glass would make such a huge improvement to the drawers. These are easy to install and helps to keep items inside the drawer for closing. They add a finished look as well.

Glass was easy to install as we had already installed the cabinet drawers. Installed in all regular size drawers with no issue. Only issue is under sink which is a shorter drawer - IKEA does not have a glass panel for this one and I wish they did!

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
