Reminiscent of old filament bulbs but made with energy-efficient LED. This clear bulb in a retro style spreads a warm white light and is perfect for lamps with a transparent or latticed shade.

LED has the bad reputation to give out bright cold white light like in a hospitals or warehouses (even though it says “warm” on packages. Lunnom lightbulbs finally give me the warm glow of the older days! The design is pretty and fine unlike the usual found on the market. I hope this Lunnom lightbulbs are also sold in Europe! Better than the old IKEA dimmable LED bulbsJaneI have some old chandelier candle-flame IKEA bulbs, so I bought only one Lunnom for my new Tärnaby lamps (warning: they say 6W max and they mean it, a 25W incandescent bulb will quickly blow). Compared to the old LEDs, the Lunnom doesn’t flicker at all and is a nice light at all dim levels. Though a visible ballast (the part of the bulb containing the circuitry) doesn’t matter very much for the Tärneby lamp, sometimes you need an invisible ballast. This bulb is definitely worth the $55
