Ratings and reviews

Poor Quality and sizeDennisThe frame edges are too thin. The cardboard and the plastic sheet can't be held or fixed on the frame. They always moves out . It is the worst product I have bought in ikea. It is not worth for this price. It wasted my time and money. Don't buy it.1
Plexiglass Frame - No Value For MoneyKatieI really like the look of this frame and the metal base but I wish IKEA would stop using cheap plexiglass. It scratches before you can even get a photo in it. It is not worth the price without a glass insert.2
DelicateVictoriaGood price but it's very delicate. Both the plexiglass and the frame part scratch super easily which is so frustrating and makes it look ugly.3
Nearly Perfect!CraigGreat product, but a more substantial build would be perfect for my uses, even if that option cost more.4
Picture FrameMagda5x7 frame I prefer Ikea quality and prices perfect for a special drawing gifted to me.5
Dinky frameLorraineNot very sturdy and it was warped when I bought it2
Looks great but easily damagedSarahAffordable frames that look great but the thin plexi glazing is sooo delicate. Have to be even more careful than working with glass because of how floppy and prone to scratching they are. 3
Nice photo frames PankajNice, easy to use. A bit tricky to remove the protection sheet from the glass 5
Perfect sizeRickythis is the perfect size for my jigsaw puzzle and the price is reasonable 5
Framed a 1,0000-piece puzzleLivI purchased the Lomviken 61 x 91 cm frame which worked well to frame a 50 x 70 cm 1,000-piece puzzle. The white matte sets it off nicely. I did add two sheets of plain newsprint behind the puzzle to prevent slippage of the puzzle when the framed puzzle was hung on the wall. 5
Picture framesDenisExactly what I was looking for to frame my photography work.5
Metal corners are awfulGrantThe metal corners are not finished well and are not black (like rest of frame); therefore, the corner colour stands out unless you sharpie them black. Also, some of the corners are sharp and my wife did cut her hand on one. 2
LOMVIKEN frameOlgaGood quality, and looks great on the wall, we used it for posters for my son’s room.4
Perfectly framedKelleyLove this frame. Light weight, easy to mount and looks great. 5
Check the corners!Anonymous reviewerThey are metal…some are not nicely finished and have super sharp and dangerous corners. Also, be careful where you put them down. I scratched my table opening them up. 3
Does what I need it to!Anonymous reviewerGreat value, easy to use, does what I need. 5
Great frame!MadalenaThis is a great frame, especially for the price. I like the clips in the back which are much better than what you get with the less expensive Ikea frames.5
Love the minimalist frame, hate the thin plexiglass EdenPlexiglass cracked when putting the photo and custom matting in. Not happy.2
Not GreatNicoleThe price is good and they look alright (despite only having a plastic front cover) but I have bought many of these and they just don't last. Either the plastic cracks or the back part that keeps the picture in place breaks. It's more work out to spend a little more to get a better quality frame. 2
Excellent frameJoyVery nice frame for poster or pictures.5

Material

What is aluminium?

After iron, aluminium is the world's most used metal and has a very wide range of uses. It’s easy to shape and lightweight, but is still strong and durable. In our range we use it for things like kitchen utensils, curtain rods and tealight cups. A big advantage with aluminium is that it can be recycled again and again without losing its quality. Recycling consumes only a fraction of the energy required to produce aluminium from new raw materials.
