This product is essential toIsabellaThis product is essential to save your drains from getting clogged. For a nice clean look, purchase the flat cover. Would be better value if it included the cover in the cost. The middle part (pull that you grip onto) becomes lose overtime. Also this does stain brownish, so needs replacement every few months.

Stopper will not sealAndreaBought and installed the porcelin sink with baskets and stoppers. Sink would slowly drain and not hold water. Removed baskets and exchanged for 2 new ones. just reinstalled the new baskets and still the same thing, sinks will not hold water.
Seems like IKEA knows about this and hasn't fixed this huge issue.........

Sink strainer rustedAnonymousI have had two of these units in my double kitchen sink. One of the strainers ball bearing catch within the stem of the strainer had rusted shut and does not allow the stopper to drain as it just slips down and blocks the drain. I have taken the strainer out and can only use one side of the sink at a time. I have checked with IKEA and to replace this unit I have to buy the whole $10 unit , just to buy the strainer. I Love the flat stainless steel cover as it makes the sink look clean and tidy. I am still looking at other suppliers to see if I can find a strainer that will accept the flat stainless steel cover. I don’t know why IKEA does not sell the strainer separately as they do for the cover plate.
