Train Set GraceI would give it 5 out 5 but the tracks did not fit/align as well as it could. 4
So GoodSarahI kept trying to get a train set on Marketplace without any luck; I was always messaging just behind a buyer. I was leery of getting the Ikea set, assuming it would be low quality because the price was so low compared to Brio or Thomas the Train sets. My son's birthday was approaching and, not wanting to spend a ton of money, I opted for the Ikea set. I am shook. The quality is excellent. I actually prefer the simple style of the Ikea set; it looks clean and sweet. the tracks fit together very well, and the train has a smooth glide. The train that comes with this set is a little boring, so I also bought the additional train, which I feel is a bit better in quality. But the one that comes in this set is not poor quality at all. I love all of the little trees and buildings that come with this track. Our son was also gifted a Thomas set at his birthday. The two track sets work together pretty well, and the trains work on both. The Ikea set is such a good deal.5
The cutest choo-choo everJoanneMy grandson loves this little train set. He has one in Montreal and one in Vancouver. So, he always has it. Plays with it for hours. The perfect little train set with wooden tracks.5
Good on its own, beware of compatibilityAlexanderYou get a lot of track for your money, and they work well with other Ikea pieces. However, the tolerances are not as tight as the brand-name sets. So, while these pieces are technically compatible, they do sometimes get stuck together when mixing and matching, which is frustrating for kids. It may take some time to pry them apart afterwards.4

Quality product for quality play time!Anonymous reviewerMy grandson (3 years old) and I love playing trains…this product is fun to build together without being too complicated and use our imagination to play!5
Train setSarahAll three grand children worked together to set the train set up - it interconnects with their other pieces so the tracks went through two rooms.5
Kids love itAnonymous reviewerIt’s easy to build, smooth edges and quality workmanship5
Could be betterAmnaThis set is OK for the price, but there are some issues. The rail parts are not smooth and don't always connect well, so the train gets derailed going down the slope for example. But the size and number of extras still make it a good purchase.4

Really cool toy for toddlers (and adults?!)NancyThis is a really, really cool toy for toddlers. Bought it for my 2 1/2 years old son and he loves it! He plays with it quite often. The pieces are sturdy, they will stand the test of time (and rough play from kids). It keeps him busy for quite some time too as he makes up imaginary play with it, builds and rebuilds different track patterns, etc.
I also love that there are add-ons you can get like the battery-powered locomotive, additional tracks, turning table, etc.
Very nice educational toy!5
