Very Solid Shelving SystemAnonymous reviewerI just recently finished installing this on the wall of my kitchen. It’s a very solid and beautiful piece of shelving. The mounting instructions are precise and clear provided they’re followed to the letter. Because this system uses vertical suspension rails there is no room for error. The rails are designed to hold accessories like shelving at precisely 60cm spacing using hidden slots on the sides of the rails. Miscalculating the 60cm centre point means that your accessories will not slide into the side slots. So a careful read of the instructions is a must. The hardest part about this installation is finding the appropriate mounting hardware. I was mounting this onto hollow wall, standard 1/2” drywall. I was able to place the first suspension rail directly onto the stud so that all three mount points were firmly seated into the wall. Unfortunately the 60 cm spacing meant that the next two rails would not mount into a stud. I chose 6x90lb molly bolts for the remaining two rails. It took a bit of playing, but the rails are very firmly in place. Another option was to mount horizontal stringers into the studs and then attach the suspension rails to the stringers, but I honestly didn’t love the idea of it not being flush to the wall. I’m also putting some faith into the fact that the suspension rail design will distribute some of the weight across the wall to help even the load. So far so good. This unit is beautiful and practical and the installation is a breeze, so long as you’ve got the right mounting hardware.5
