Not soft closingJillianI used these to install doors on the Pax wardrobe in my toddler’s room and, 2 weeks later, they no longer soft close (and it’s only me opening and closing them - no toddler slamming anything since he can’t reach yet). This makes them pretty useless since the whole point was to not smush his fingers when he does start opening them…
Unhappy!DonWe have had to replace 7 of 8 of our original hinges after only a few weeks as they were no longer slow closing. Even the replacement hinges are not very good at the slow closing movement. Only two of our doors actually slow close properly.

Garbage hingesMansurShame on Ikea for selling these when they know there is an issue. These do not work after a bit and leak oil. Changing hinges also wears out the holes in the Pax frame so its not a simple return.
Do not use - defective soft close hingesMansurThese hinges are faulty and should not even be sold. I got multiple PAX sets in summer 2021 and since then all the slow close hinges have leaked. I have replaced them three times. I even called customer service to complain. Shame on Ikea for continuing to sell these.
They don’t do soft closingAnnThe plastic piece that plays as stopper and slows down the door in its closing motion, that component is very weak and cannot perform its job after a few closes. I tried 10 sets not just two or three on two Pax closets. I bought them at different time between 2 years. No difference. You are lucky the soft closing performs for a few months
1/3 workYuenGot 3 sets and only 1 set is soft closing. The other two doors slam. It’s disappointing because we spent more than $200 for someone to install the pax unit and now we have to disassemble and then re-install them by ourselves. What a pain…
Soft Close function failed in few weeks of use.GauravBought 9 sets for my Pax Closets and in few weeks 2/9 already started failing and door just slams. There’s quality issues with the mechanism and needs to be inspected and tested. Otherwise very easy to install and build quality is good.

Screws don’t fit door pre-drilled holesJordanBad experience. Bought these hinges for 4 komplement cabinets. Installed the cabinets and go to install the doors and the screws that go into the door are too small for the pre drilled holes in the door. Why would Ikea sell these if they don’t fit?! I’ve been in and out of Ikea so often lately with faulty products, no delivery available etc, etc. And some of the staff at the return dept, don’t get me started. It’s getting to the point where I’m looking elsewhere to finish my Reno’s even if half of my items are ikea…
