Hair missing and was patched up JenniferI live in a smaller city and ordering online is the only option. The original hide came defected with missing bald patches, very short hair and was patched on the bare side. IKEA sent a new one and it was night and day. I love the new one they sent as the hair is longer, hide is thick and the markings are better. It was no charge and I didn’t have to send the the old one back. 3
Bought for dogsSamBought it for my dogs and they love laying on it. It’s very tough, they play on it, scratch it and it still looks new over a year later of heavy use. 5

Beautiful but not the best qualityAmandaThere were only a couple on the rack when we bought ours and ours was definitely the nicest there but nowhere near as nice as the ones in the photos. Not the best quality I’ve seen at IKEA. But I do love it. Just wish their quality control was a bit better.3

Authentic and UniqueDesmondI originally went to the store thinking these were simulated rugs, I had no idea they were authentic cow hides. As such, each one is very unique in their coloring, texture and size. You can choose a hide that is more subtle or more dramatic depending on what is in stock. So far it has been an incredible addition to our living room, easy to keep, and really warms up the room. Our dog Bella LOVED it the second it arrived. She now splits her nap time equally between floor and couch. It won’t add any plushness, but it feels amazing under the feet.5
