Great little binLoriI like these bins. They look great in my KLAKKA shelf unit that I installed in the laundry room. I also love the slight grassy smell they have. I hope it lasts a little while. One bin had a loose strand of rope but we just hot glued it back in place. 4

Pieces fall offCloeThese boxes are very stylish but as I was assembling them pieces shed off and make a huge mess. I had small pieces all over my kallax and floors and even got some stuck in the skin of my fingers. I love Ikea products but was greatly disappointed in this one. I hope it is only because I got a defective batch, but if they are all like this then I do not recommend.1

Stunning but minor issueDeondraI love these I got it to go with the kallax shelf. The sea grass smell isn’t bad to me. Kinda makes the area smell new a bit. It was the nicest looking shelf and wanted a rustic feel. Only thing is that I don’t understand the assembly. Didn’t come with any instructions or extra string or twine. Am I supposed to use some sort of string or something to secure the bottom on? So for now the bottom is not secured. That simple clarification on the label would’ve helped and easily landed 5 stars for me. But because of that confusion, Assembly cannot be rated a perfect score.4

I recommend considering how often you will have to access the contents.. as pulling leaves "tracks" in the shelf very quickly from the friction. Maybe if the bottom panel could have felt to avoid this premature wear and tear?4

Material

What is seagrass?

Sedge (or seagrass) grows naturally in South-East Asian coastal areas. For our products, we mainly use cultivated sedge from field areas that have previously been flooded by the sea, making them unsuitable for rice cultivation. But sedge grows well in salty soils and even helps cleanse them. After harvest, the plant is left to dry in the sun making it a hardwearing fibre ideal for weaving or braiding baskets and mats with beautiful colour variations.
