Soooo much better than plastic wrap!WayneWell made product that washes up clean and neat, quickly.
Great size selection to cover bowls and containers in the fridge or on the counter in the blink of an eye.
So much easier and just so very much healthier.5
Great lidsDavidReally like these silicone lids.
Yes the lids absorb cooking smells but placing the lids in a 350 degree oven for 20-30 minutes removes any odours. 5
Missing a lid?MariaThese are amazing. They're easy to store and never leak over the edge if it's too big. To remove them when they are stuck you just have to flick the side and lift the handle.5
Absorbs and any all cooking smell, stays greasy even after dishwashingJasminIt’s not often I throw away an IKEA product, they’re pretty built to last. But these are terribly designed for hot food. They get super hot, even the grab handle part. I’ve been almost burned and another reviewer mentions getting seriously burned. So deciding to be extra careful, they worked for a little while - until each one gained the smell of a dish I cooked. I can literally smell the last meal I made using the lid MONTHS ago, even after going through the dishwasher TWICE. I wish I had returned them. I finally just threw them in the trash today and will be going for a glass lid set next time. What a waste of twenty bucks though, so learn from my mistake: stick with a trusted nonporous material like glass or metal, skip the silicone or plastic ones. Frankly, I hope IKEA discontinues this model in general. I’m leaving 2 stars instead of 1 only because they’re thick quality, look nice, and stack well, so they might work for storing cold foods. But for a pot lid? Terrible. TERRIBLE.2
Absorb cooking smellAngelaI initially liked these. They suck onto the pot or pan, however, I was frying some onions, and now I cannot get the smell off of them. It drives me crazy to constantly smell fried food when I open my pot drawer.1
Better than plastic wrap for food storageDanielaI just purchased a second set of these lids because the first set was in constant use. I do not use them to cover hot pots for safety reasons. Instead, I use them to cover glass bowls in the refrigerator. They create an air tight seal and are better than plastic wrap. 5
Universal lids for potsJacquelineAwful. Got the worst burn of my life. The lid gets sucked in, making it impossible to lift off with the top part. In an effort to move it, I used the over-flap. Steam gushed out and burned me in an instant. Horrible design. I thought the centre would be solid, with silicone on the outer portion, but this completely silicone lid is dangerous. I threw them out immediately after that. Very disappointed.1
