The instructions SaadIt's only right to mention some important things about this item. The quality is excellent. The wood felt sturdy and good, not to mention the connection points. There are a lot of pieces and organized decently but the instructions were horrible. I have never had any issues before with many ikea items where I had to put it all together myself. The fabric is made well and the zippers strong. Need strong fingers to zip up some of them. The cushion is very comfortable
Reversible cushions not an option.CeciliaI find it very disappointing that the cushions don’t have the same fabric on both sides. As you can see in the photo (assembling manual loveseat page 7) only one side has the sofa fabric and the other has a filler fabric. This takes away the option of flipping the cushion if you want to. Very poor design from IKEA .
Nice and solidEvaIf you have kids, get the KIVIK. 10/10 for practicality. It’s solid enough to handle play, and the fact that you can wash the covers makes spills a non-issue. Plus, it’s customizable—if I get bored of the Grey, I can just swap the entire cover for a new color! It starts off a little firm, but my kids are already doing the hard work of breaking it in for me. Affordable, stylish, and stress-free.
Do not buyAlenaIt’s a headache to put together, and the fabric is ugly, rough and threadbare. It already looks 10 years old and I just put it together. It is structurally sound, and comfortable, but if you care about aesthetics or fabric quality, DO NOT BUY. I’m deeply regretful but putting it together was so much of an ordeal so we’re just going to settle for it for now, and buy a nice cover to disguise its ugliness. Never again will I buy an IKEA couch.
Worst qualitySaravananI regret buying it, not a good fabric, and uncomfortable to sit and cozy. But the older version of kivik sofa which i bough around 10 years before is still great
I'd Rather StandMattI had high hopes for this loveseat. I liked the style and the washable covers.
The couch is listed as medium firm, which can be subjective and dependant on the company. Apparently, Ikea's definition of medium firm is rock hard. I was expecting the firmness to soften up in time but nope, zero breaking in. It hurts my back and I can't get comfortable. I missed my return window and now I'm stuck with this thing.
This couch should be listed as a "staging only couch" for real estate listings and tv/movie props. Looks good, nonexistent livability.
Great couch butLuizaSo far, it’s a great couch. I hand-picked it out of all the options in the store. I just hope the cushions last longer than my old Finnala ones. That said, putting it together was quite a nightmare. It started with one of the parts missing from the box (which customer care did fix, although it cost me a whole day of trips to IKEA). On top of that, the manual is pretty confusing when it comes to assembling the loveseat and then attaching the chaise. And finally, the cushion covers are extremely snug, it feels like a near-impossible mission to get them on properly, and if it’s not done well, the couch doesn’t look its best.
Deeply regret this purchase. 0/5 stars. DO NOT recommend.SharonBought this sofa and paid for home delivery. Couch arrived 10 days ago, with a faulty piece that makes assembly impossible. Now I have a half-built couch and a bunch of pieces and hardware littering up my living room, making the whole room unusable. My husband and I have called Ikea three times and so far we have no idea when, how, or, frankly, IF Ikea will resolve the situation. They are treating our home like a free storage facility for broken furniture. The customer service reps are very nice but have no power to help us. If you can't physically get this couch to and from a store yourself, DO NOT gamble with Ikea. I'm out over a thousand dollars and have no confidence that Ikea will ever replace this broken couch or refund me the money. I regret trusting Ikea and wish we'd paid more and gone with a more reliable vendor.

Immediately noticed the fit of the covers are inconsistent which deform the cushion and it doesn’t sit well on the couch. I have a large gap between the chaise and cushion which is uncomfortable and looks horrendous, the chaise cushion perks up in the front due to small cover which in turn pulls on the base cover pulling the stitching making a hole and lastly the back cushion on the chaise is flimsy and deformed. It’s definitely over priced for the quality you receive.

Tissu très rude et coussin extra cheapNadineJ'ai acheté le Kivik meridien 3 places avec beaucoup d'enthousiasme car le modèle en magasin etait vraiment cool. Cependant, quelle mauvaise surprise lorsque j'ai eu fini de le monter et de constater à quel point le tissu etait rugueux....et pas un peu rugueux, genre qu'il est difficile de s'asseoir en short car ça pique la peau. Et que dire de la qualité du rembourrage coussins qui fait des genres de "mottons" et ce malgré avoir travaillé fort pour les placer dans la housse. Bref, je pense comprendre pourquoi ce divan est en spécial en ce moment...est-ce une mauvaise batch? Ça n'a aucun sens...

MediocreCarlyThe couch is a very nice size. It came in multiple pieces which allowed me to get it downstairs. It’s nice that all the cushion covers are washable but I wonder how hard it would be to get the covers back on after doing so. It’s a fairly stiff couch.
