Frustrating Warranty and Support ExperienceAbdullahThis KIVIK chaise developed serious structural issues within just two years of regular use, the support sagged and the springs stopped functioning properly. By year three, it had become very uncomfortable. When I contacted IKEA about the issues, I was offered a “video chat” for assessment, which wasn’t helpful because the problem couldn’t be evaluated remotely. I asked if someone could inspect the chaise in person, and the response was that I would need to bring the whole assembled chaise in to an IKEA store myself for "inspection". During the process, I felt that the staff doubted the issues I reported, which was frustrating and disheartening. It’s disappointing that a product designed for regular use lost support so quickly, and the warranty process made it very difficult to resolve the problem. Overall, the chaise is not durable for long-term use, and the level of customer support I experienced was extremely poor.1
Back cushion does not match the sofa onesZoranI generally like the Kivik line, but this purchase (2025) was less than satisfying. Back cushion comes compressed and does not expand properly. Sofa's cushions are full and hard, while chaise's is flimsy, does not fill up the cover and is therefore wrinkly on the outside. It does not match sofa while it should be identical. Everything is already assembled and it is too much of a hassle to return but if somebody from Ikea is monitoring these comments, please fix this.2
Cushion sinks, not supportiveGrahamCushion sinks after sitting for a short period of time. Due to the fact it comes shrink wrapped inside the base, so it’s already compacted. Cover also fits very loosely because of this.2

We already had the 2-seater and have this separate, which is perfect here. As renters, I love that I can add it to the sofa when we move if that works better. Beautiful and hard wearing. This fabric is absolutely worth the higher price.
