Took a heck of a time to get fully workingJeremyI installed this light in an outdoor fixture. I’m relying on its Matter support using Apple Home.
The first 24 hours were painful trying to get it to work. I was able to add it to Apple Home fairly easily but the controls were sluggish and adaptive lighting didn’t seem to work. I was optimistic that a firmware update appeared to be available (1.1.0). It struggled to update for an entire day during which it went through frustrating periods of being unresponsive. I really don’t know what ultimately got the firmware to update but I tried a different iPhone to initiate the update (a 12 mini after trying a 15 Pro and 16), and also thought it might be a signal or range issue so I also added a smart plug with matter and thread support between the light and my Apple TV serving as a hub.
I’m glad to say that the 1.1.0 update seems to enable adaptive lighting and is also more responsive. I wish it didn’t take this much effort.
