Nice when you can buy themMarcWorks well but i havent been able to purchase any recently as they havent been in stock. Will they ever be back?4
Very goodJuan JoseVery useful and easy to set up, although some colours change tone when dimming.4
It's perfectAndrewNothing to complain about, matter enabled all I need5
Five stars when it worksHeatherI'd give it five stars, but I bought 5 of these and only 3 worked so they get the same percentage. The three that paired to our hub are amazing and we love them, but when 40% of them are just duds... it's pretty disappointing and makes me wary of adding any more to my home.3
Great Bulb - Few Caveats wehn working with AlexaAngusAll is well now that they are sorted. What I should have known:
1. Does not work with analog dimmers.
2. Turn bulb off/on six times "in rapid succession" to reset the bulb to factory defaults.
3. Alexa does not recognize the rooms programmed into the Dirigera hub:
a. Register bulb with Ikea Home Smart App.
b. Add Ikea Home Smart app as a skill in Alexa.
c. Say Alexa "discover devices"
c. Add a routine to control the bulb(s) in the Alexa app.4
Green issue - why not fixed?Adilfirmware 1.20 has an issue where if it is set to red/orange it will turn bright green when dimming between 60%-99. Clearly an issue everyone is reporting, why is there no attempt to fix?3
Are they all defective?DanielI purchased 2 light bulbs and they both turn green when I set to red. Not the quality I expected.1
Amazing Apple Home bulb. Super reliable and great colour accuracyDwightFinally a good Thread/Matter bulb that’s rock solid, and bright enough in white settings. Updated to the latest firmware, and don’t seem to have the colour issues that the other reviews mentioned (at least when using in Apple Home). Added immediately, and has been incredibly responsive.
Colour reproduction is fantastic (on par with Hue and Nanoleaf). Very reliable and responsive. Good white spectrum that gets very bright (which is great since I’m using this specific bulb in a PS 2014 pendant).
This is my go-to Matter bulb now. Will definitely also be adding more IKEA Matter devices moving forward (already added some GRILLPLATS)!5
Will not connect AT ALLAshlynI bought 9 bulbs to add to my smart home system and I cannot pair a single one of these bulbs. I’ve tried all of their troubleshooting (e.g. making sure I’m on a 2.4hz network, resetting everything including my wifi router, dirigera hub, and phone, typing the numbers instead of scanning the code) and NOTHING works. I spent hours trying to find “hacks” to make them connect and even tried lengthy reddit troubleshooting tips and still nothing. I’ve tried adding it to the IKEA Home Smart app and the Apple HomeKit and neither work for ANY of the 9 bulbs. After having tons of success with their old smart bulbs I am extremely disappointed. Will likely end up switching to Phillips Hues bulbs because I cannot get any of these to work. 1
Doesn't match old Tradfri Bulbs.Robertif you can't match this with existing products in the same fixture for color and brightness, its a 100% total failure. ONLY get if you aren't mixing with Tradfri. Also the matter connection takes for ever if it even works.1
Turn Green when they're not supposed toAmethystI'm just echoing the same thing as others are saying. My bulb turns greens within the red and pink color range and when dimming it past a certain brightness, super annoying because I just bought 2 for two lamps. Though until it's fixed I may need to go with another brand even though I really like the home system.3
Firmware 1.2.0 Green Issue, But Otherwise Good!MattAs other reviewers have encountered, there is a firmware bug where a nice soft pink colour at 59 percent brightness becomes solid green as soon as you bump up brightness to between 60 and 99 percent. At 100 percent brightness the bulb snaps back to the correct hue though, so definitely some funky math going on in the bulb’s brain. With any luck a near-future firmware update will resolve this. In terms of connectivity and other features I have no complaints though; the bulbs paired in seconds to my HomeKit setup and have been flawless (aside from that green issue!) since.3
Isn't compatible with existing STYRBAR remote control for smart bulbs RumelaI don't understand why would you sell items that are compatible and then remove one of the items from the shelves. I can't find the TRADFRI color changing bulbs anywhere. So now I had to buy the KAJPLATS E26 color changing bulb only to realize it's not compatible with the STYRBAR smart home remote control. So you the bulbs color changing feature, I now have to buy another remote that's compatible with these bulbs??? How many remotes would you have people buy? This is so inconvenient and annoying.1
Colors wrong when dimmedAndrewStay away from this, at least for now. Between around 60-99% brightness the warm to deep orange/red colors will always show up as green instead. I've already returned one bulb and the second one is the same. It seems my problem is not unique because I've seen others on Reddit saying the same.2
Firmware issueChaseOut of the box on firmware 1.1.0, these bulbs seemed to work fine for me. Shortly after connecting they auto update to 1.2.0 and then exhibit the strangest bug where when we have a warm colour selected (orange/red) (also the only colour range I want the bulbs for) it will turn bright green when dimming between 60%-99%. Outside that range the bulb will be the correct colour. Really hoping this gets fixed quickly! Bulbs are a great price and paired without any issues for me.3
