Owned for two years, and still happySerhiiI have owned two of these cabinets for nearly two years, and the self-closing mechanism on the doors is still working as well as it did on the first day. The doors slide effortlessly, and I couldn't be happier with them. I wish I could disassemble these cabinets and be able to rearrange them within my home when I want to change the furniture layout. It takes two strong men to lift these cabinets, with the doors and shelves removed, as there is nothing that can be taken apart once they are assembled. On the bright side, the shelves can support a significant amount of weight. Overall, these cabinets are fantastic!
One GripeKristianI'm giving the Idesen Display Cabinet 4 stars because I have one gripe with it. It is built in such a way that there is no way to take it apart again without potentially breaking it. For anyone that moves at all, you have to move it in one piece. I really don't like not being able to dismantle my furniture when moving or selling the item later, the fact that its "build me once" because of metal push tabs instead of just putting in screws or bolts shows me that ikea doesn't care about its reusability or the limited space of its customers. The push tabs are also not perfect so the fit and finish of the top panel is questionable, otherwise, I think it's a great piece that is sleek and fairly easy to build.
Plant cabinetMariI have two of these and use them both as DIY greenhouses; they are awesome. I bought the second one to replace my Milsbo, because I like the Idasen so much more. Everything but the glass is magnetic, so hanging lights and fans was extremely easy with magnet hooks. The cable management was thoughtfully designed, and I'm happy that I didn't need to alter the cabinet to run several cables through it. The sliding doors are excellent, and close very softly. It keeps humidity high, and is comparable to my Milsbo in that regard. The whole cabinet looks and feels high quality.
