Love this set! JulianaWe bought this set 3+ years ago and although the frying pan coat is not the best I am to this day impressed with the quality, including the glass lids that are tick and so useful while cooking. Paid around $100 at the time and would still pay the current price because is so worth it. 5
Disappointed with the frying pan in the setYehorI bought a cookware set recently, and while most pieces are fine, the frying pan is a big problem. Food constantly sticks to it, even when used carefully and according to instructions. It seems the coating is poor quality and wears out very quickly. I expected better durability from IKEA. I hope this feedback helps improve the product in the future.1

What is sol-gel ceramic non-stick coating?

Sol-gel non-stick is often called ceramic coating and is an increasingly common replacement for other non-stick coatings in frying pans. It comprises mostly of silica and is created by applying a gel-like solution to the product and drying it in an oven. The result is a hard, glossy surface with non-stick properties. Sol-gel can be produced in different colours, it withstands high heat, is easy to use and clean – and allows cooking with little or no fat.
