Ratings and reviews
Sink not perfectly flat for installation. WilmaThe sink looks good but the lip is not flat and so does not sit flush against the counter top when installing.
Very Poor DesignAnonymous reviewerVery nice looking sink but poorly designed.
The majority of sinks on the market have an inset area for the basket strainer (drain assembly), this one does not and as a result, there is Always water sitting around the lip of the strainer. Quite annoying.
I expected a little more from the design team at IKEA.
wishAnonymous reviewerI wish IKEA would sell a metal grid to put at the bottom of the sink.
Nice Sink, Simple with Clean LinesAnonymousBeen using this sink for 2 months. Love it. Haven't had any staining issues. More cautious with it not being S/S, but overall I think it is wonderful.
Stained after 3 weeks of use, hard to keep cleanAnonymous reviewerPurchased an entire kitchen and loved this minimalist sink. I figured it would need frequent wiping, but it needs a deep cleaning daily. And the top right corner is already stained at the bottom. Very unhappy. Would not recommend.

Material
What are ceramics?
For thousands of years, humans have used ceramic objects for cooking and serving, and it’s easy to see why. Ceramics are heat-resistant and durable, and don’t react chemically when in contact with various foods. The base material is different types of clay that are formed into objects and oven-burned. At IKEA, we mostly use ceramics for plant pots, porcelain and sinks – and since it can be glazed to any colour and shine, the possibilities of styles and looks are endless.
