Cozy ShelterKristaWe love it, keeps the sun off our deck and makes it cozy so we can snuggle under the stars. Definitely atleast a 2 person job to put together as it is a little cumbersome. 5
Perfect ClintTwo person job to assemble with no issues in about an hour, very nice and easy to open or close the shade and the velcro is strong to hold it in place. Very happy with it and may get a second.
Only feedback would be for Ikea to also sell brackets to mount to deck as I would have purchased those also.5
Outdoor spaceJenEasy set up in about an hour! Love that I can have the roof open or closed. Does not trap water in during the rain so no need to worry about it pooling and tearing. Very happy. 5
Very disappointed with thisKatharineThis a very flimsy structure. Not sturdy at all and looks very cheap. Ikea has been great in the past so I was hoping for something substantial. It is not made to be erected on a lawn. It looks terrible. I am very, very disappointed. 1
Nice shadeMariaEasy to put together between two people. Good size. Good for shade, I just wish the fabric would have been water proof. I really like it.4
Beautiful, well constructed and designed = )NadineI purchased this pergola for my backyard deck. I absolutely love it! It does require two people to assemble (at least at the joining of the two metal structures part). Some harware to mount to the deck needed to be purchased and power-drilled in. I have set it up for the summer, and since taken the canopy down for the winter. I have gotten so many compliments on it = ) BE CAREFUL to always close and secure the velcro on the canopy when it is windy -- that thing turns into a sail...!5
Perfect for our deckEdithAssembly requires two people. Needed to buy hardware to attach to deck. But we love it.4
I wish it was waterproofAnonymous reviewerPergola is beautiful. It has light construction which made installation easier. I'd recommend at least two tall people to put it together. I'm short, so it was difficult for me and my husband, however me made it work. I'm disappointed that the canopy is not waterproof, not even water resistant. Now I have to order a custom made canopy, which is an extra $200. I think it wasn't though through, and the canopy should be updated and be waterproof.3
Went up quickly. Nicely designed. Needed to make some very minor modificationsHectorWent up quickly. Nicely designed. I had to modify the pegs to act like washers to secure it to the deck. It's gone through a few storms and so far so good. The drape has velcro which was useful to keep it tied together so it didn't pick up in wind. I will note that the bars that suspend the drape has a tendency to clink on the frame in the wind. We added small bungee chords which keeps it from doing that. Generally speaking, it's a really good product. It's as good as other metal pergolas we looked at and it was cheaper than all of them. We wish the colour was a little different but that's just our taste. We'd encourage Ikea to make and sell side curtains for this pergola, and a 4 leg tripod frame to go over the top to hang a light above the frame for evenings. 5
Nice but flimsyNatashaGreat looking shade but the overall structure is flimsy. The 'feet' that attach the structure to a floor are made of plastic. In my opinion, installing a metal bolt through a plastic footing is going to fail. Time will tell but small breezes have created a fair amount of movement. 3
Quality product so farLyndaSo far, so good. Very sturdy and love that it can be just slid back when we want sun. So far we haven't had any bad weather so I can't comment on durability. 5
