Nice bin but difficult handle/lidKarenWe use this as a food scraps bin. Quickly during attempted use it became evident that when needing to open and empty from the bin into a scraps reservoir-there is no easy way to use the handle and have the lid open. It has a very specific alignment and this makes the handle collide with the lid. 3

I musta gotta later batch...DavidThough the picture online shows a wonderful creamy off white, slightly grey product, the actual item I got was grey. If we take a colour gradient scale from pure white (1) to pure 50/50 grey (5.5) in the middle and black (10) at the end. The picture as we see it online should be at the upper end of the number 1 spot like 1.5.
But what I ended up was something darker and definitely in the 2.3 - 2.5 range of my 1-10 scale. So still light but not as light as the way it is displayed. I was hoping it was lighter as I see it on the monitor.
The bottom isn't pure flat. A center portion of it is dimpled up like a tray ceiling drops down, the center of the bin is raised up a big. A bit worrisome because I was going to stick casters on this I got from Temu. But the lip on the bottom is too narrow for the type of stick-on caster I bought. Had it been perfectly flat, then this would not be an issue.
So instead of 360° rotating stick-on casters, I had to settle for a one direction rolling.4
