Great in theory; fatal flawErikCannot recommend purchasing this until IKEA offers the canopy as a standalone item for separate purchase. The Gunnon is great in that it does the job and can be quite striking when you add, say, shower curtains or drapes on the sides. Looks good in backyard, keeps rain out when working, and the frame is quite durable and sturdy. Easy assembly!
However, when the plastic tarp rips (and it WILL rip within one or three years), you have no recourse. You can't buy a new tarp/cover and the material isn't sufficient quality to repair--you will just have a useless metal frame so you'll toss the whole thing into the landfill. An utter waste. (IKEA could've just sold the tarps--different colours/patterns even!) and made a cynical killing, but instead it has made disposable garbage. I like a lot of IKEA stuff, but this was a huge, wasteful disappointment. DO NOT BUY.1
Lasts less than 2 seasons before tarps is unusable and Ikea doesn't have replacements partsNelsonUnusual size, easy to assembly and use, WAS nice for the first year, started leaking on the second until the tarp got completely damaged. I didn't expect it to last forever and wasn't concerned because Ikea usually carry replacement parts that we can buy. Not for this product. Called, used chat, tried everything, Ikea suggestion is for me to buy a new Gazebo and just throw away the first one, so imagine you buy the same product every 2 years because a fabric tarp is damaged.
While I do love lots of Ikea products, this is kinda of shameful.1
Make replacement canopyMonicaGreat frame, fairly easy to build and holding up well but the canopy ripped the first summer we got it and since you can’t get a replacement it’s rendered useless unless I buy a new one (frame and all). 3
Polyester Canopy…JesseThe product was easy enough to install and the frame has held up well. The canopy has torn and is unusable after one and a half summers, even if I took care to properly store the product during the winter and high winds. Safe to say that I’m a little disappointed. 1
Love It! but...LindsayWe've had two of these up since last summer. Took the canopies off through the winter (Oct-May) as I knew there wasn't a replacement available (yet? I hope!). It has survived 80km/hr winds, small hail, and heavy downpour. We do live in a typically dry part of the country, lots of sun, but extremely variable temps (-40/+40°C). Obviously the canopy will need to be replaced eventually, but I see no reason the frame won't last us many years to come. For a company that prides itself in being environmentally consciencious I'm surprised it's not available yet. Get on it IKEA!! 😄4
Love It But...PatrciaI love my Gunnon gazebo. It looks beautiful and it's functional. However... Why do they not have a replacement canopy for this product? All the talk about sustainability and if the canopy rips, etc I have to buy a completely new gazebo again? Doesn't make sense. Ikea Canada can do better...4
Great but need replacement canopyAlisonLove this gazebo but PLEASE MAKE REPLACEMENT CANOPY available in Canada!

Exactly as expected !NatalieI am very pleased with the gazebo. It is sturdy, steady and holds up well (if fixed proparly).5
Canopy tears easily with no options to replaceAnonymous reviewerAs noted in other reviews, the canopy is of poor quality. It leaks, and it tears, but there's no replacement part to order/purchase. It's super disappointing as I've had it for less than a year and it's completely unusable.1
A big disappointmentSaminaPut it up last summer and the whole structure buckled and the top ripped off when snow fell. What are you supposed to do every winter? Disassemble it? Total waste of money. There should at least be 1 year warranty on this item and supplier should reimburse.1
No Canopy ReplacementGwenLike many reviews I also purchased this product and after 2 season the canopy ripped. I would like to purchase the canopy to replace the ripped one but forced to buy the whole unit. It does not make sense.2
Do not purchaseBrianLike every other review the canopy lasted one summer . We took it off in the fall and put it away . Cant purchase a replacement . Do better IKEA . We have a houseful of your furniture and are very happy with it . The canopy …not so much.1
It keeps leakingJamieThe first one I bought was leaking after 4 months, got a replacement but that leaks too. They would not give me another one because it was a month past the one year mark. I would just buy a new one but they don't offer the tarp as a separate item to purchase. This is really stupid - please add a replacement tarp so that when it wears out (and it does) we could just buy a new cover!1
No canopy replacementMasonPurchased this gazebo last summer and am so upset. Cheap canopy that ripped right as I put it up for my 2nd season. 0 replacements in all of canada, actually told that the canopy isn't even sold as a spare or replacement part. So disappointed. No return or compensation after only using for 6 months.1
Can’t replace canopyLauraIt was a good purchase until the canopy ripped and now we can’t even replace it… For some reason you can’t purchase a replacement in Canada. Please fix that.2
Great gazebo, but canopy lasts only few seasonsMartinaI had this gazebo for 2 summers until the canopy ripped. I took it off for winter, but during the second summer I noticed the fabric was already starting to get brittle, by the end of the second summer the canopy ripped during a storm when I wasn't home. Unfortunately due to the very favorable price the canopy fabric is cheap, not rip stop, not UV treated. It would probably double the price with good quality durable outdoor fabric. Sadly at this price the canopy is almost disposable, so it would be nice if IKEA offered replacement canopy too.3
Love it - but can’t replace canopy! AlexandraAbsolutely loved it this past spring/summer/fall.
Late season rip. Can’t replace just the canopy. Please offer this item!3
canapyDeanIt fit right whee we wanted it nicely. The roof is a tight fit so if it rains a little it will shed off. It doesn’t show but it does have an over hang which we liked also.5
Break after 3 monthsDavidIt was windy yesterday, the wind made two of the legs bend like butter. It's cheaply made and non safe to use.1
Canopy cover damaged in less than a year.JamesFrame is fairly sturdy but the canopy cover itself was easily torn and damaged beyond repair. Cannot seem to find a replacement at Ikea Canada but seems to be available in other countries. 1
