Very poor qualityJake Bond 007Not worth the price and poor quality. 1) Cloth started to rip off from the stitching area within 3 months of use 2) Big gap between the extendable piece 3) Extendable part of the sofa comes off from the main sofa quite often 4) Cushion start to push off from the arm rest within few months This sofa failed to meet my expectation from Ikea.1
Nowhere close to worth the price!CjrjeuussI waited for this couch to come back into stock in Calgary I figured since it kept selling out so quickly it was a good choice despite the reviews...I was wrong. This couch for me was a splurge in price as I just moved out and needed a good quality pull out couch, the storage was a huge perk as well even tho it was out of my budget I went for it. I needed a pull out couch but this one does not stay together, I had another attachment sent out in case they were faulty and the bed still rolls out halfway through the night leaving only the couch portion to sleep on therefore pointless. I got this couch last month and there is already a huge rip at the seem of the pull out cushion. It does not hold up well and one of the most important parts of the cushion is held together by one stitch.1
Decent enough couch, doesn"t hold up well long-terTribalbobGot this about a year ago when my partner moved in with me. We wanted to replace my old leather furniture with something a bit more comfortable. We live in a small 1 bedroom apartment, so we also wanted A) Storage Space and B) Somewhere for friends to crash if needed; which this bed seemed to fit the bill. When new, it's a great sofa - very comfortable, nice style and we love the grey colour. However, a year onward not so much. While the Chez lounge side is still just as good as it was when we bought it, the couch portion has sagged horrendously; in addition, the cushion on that part has stretched and rolled making it look much older than it actually is. I'm not sure how they built the chez lounge side, but the couch side is much worse quality.2
Perfect for rec room!Cat2308Had it for a month now and love it!5
Great size futon but fabric quality,..n... J nkNice Nice GirlWe had this delivered in May 2020. I bought it even though reviews are low because my friend has had it for 5 + years and has moved and reassembled a few times and it's still in great condition. I've had really comfortable sleeps on it. I think they've decreased the quality based on personal experiences + reviews. Pros: Delivery was fast and set up didn't take us too much time. It's large. It's a good si The (blue)colour is vibrant and the futon is a good size. Once it's pulled out, you can spread it like a double/queen bed. It's a sturdy foam, sturdy cushions and comfortable sleep. Spills are easy to clean with a cloth and water. I love the design too! Cons: The second day we had it I noticed that the leg on the side that doesn't have storage is leaning a bit. I checked it a couple of times and realized it's the design. The arm on the storage side is not the sturdiest either. Lean against a wall where possible. There is basically one screw keeping it attached. I'm thinking about reinforcing it myself. It's not very reinforced in the centre of the sofa. It doesn't feel comfortable to sit on all parts of the sofa. Some parts feel weaker and I'm a heavier person, so I only sit in specific places on the couch. The extension always falls out when it's pulled out. I think it's because of the leaning leg, which feels like a design flaw. It was so dusty when it arrived that I couldn't sit on it without a sneezing fit. My husband wiped it down thoroughly with an antibacterial spray + cloth and that fixed it. The fabric design catches everything: dust, fur, dry skin(??). Every spec that touches it shows. It makes the couch look very washed out, used and warn very easily. Keeping it wiped and dusting it makes it look new again though. The fabric is already becoming slack on the sofa and the sofa foam is starting to jut out like the couch has been used for years. It's very poorly and cheaply made. I'm truly shocked and disappointed. Overall, I was really looking forward to this and I'm disappointed with the issues. I paid $800. I'd value this at $300-400 at best. I would still recommend it while being honest about the issues. It's really hard to get a comfortable pullout bed but this does not look like it will last very long.1
great small space sofacodyst03bought this product almost a year ago and have enjoyed it very much, seats are comfortable, fabric doesn't feel rough or scratchy. sleeper pull out is a bit loosey goosey but with a good fitted sheet it holds pretty well.4
Two Months in and Pilling EverywhereAus1330I immensely regret this purchase. We used to have this couch in dark grey and it was amazing - lasted for years. We decided to replace it this year in the beige colour, and two months in I’m extremely remorseful for the decision. Almost every surface is pilling - I’m seriously considering throwing it out and replacing with something else because of how horrible it looks.1
Broken frame after less than 2 yearsYYCGuyXxI picked this up about 18 months ago, and recently the frame snapped right in the centre of the main seating portion... a very integral part of the couch. Because of the way it’s designed and the fact you can fully pull out the “bed” part from underneath the frame I was able to have a look at where exactly the frame snapped. Turns out it snapped right on a knot in the solid wood. Anyone that works with wood knows that the area surrounding a knot is a weak point, so for this knot to be placed right at one of the highest stress points of the entire couch means it was a manufacturer’s defect. Normally this would be fine, however it seems as though this particular sofa doesn’t come with the famous Ikea warranty. So after waiting on hold for an hour to speak with a rep to get some assistance it seems I’ll need to head into the store and work this out with a manager. I’m hoping for the best, but I’m still leaving a review as no sofa frame should snap after barely a year of use. It seems there’s a reason Ikea doesn’t offer a warranty on this particular model. :(1
Sunk after a few months, very poor qulityAAnandAI bought this couch a few months ago , and it has sunk within a few months. My back hurts and I had to see a chiropractor. I got this couch online delivered. This is a huge couch, I don't know how to return it back. This is the worst couch ever.1
Sofa bedAayushiLove the blue color, so far it's really good. Read some negative comments about the fabric. But it looks pretty good. Sofa is very comfortable. Just a little bit expensive.5
Perfect Sofa Bed for a Small ApartmentEilyMI have had this sofa bed for 4 years now and I absolutely love it. The size is perfect for my small living room even though it's a corner sofa. It's comfortable enough to sleep on for many nights (I put a foldable mattress topper over the sofa if anyone needs it but it's not necessary). I love how it becomes a queen size bed so easily in seconds, and three people can sit and stretch their legs when we have a movie night. My living room doesn't have space to have an ottoman. I can store guest's blankets, mattress toppers and pillows under the sofa as well. The cover does wrinkle after a while but you can stretch it out to make it look okay. This is a wonderful sofa for the price. Thank you, IKEA. Please do not discontinue this product. I will buy one agian if my current one falls apart :)5
perfect sofa-bedshan1676I have used this earlier and was absolutely sure to invest this much money again in this excellent product.5
Poor quality and worksmanshipRobinMalhotraI bought this sofa about a month ago and i am already started to feel the frame under the cushions. The quality of the material used in the seats is very poor1
Great family couchAudreyM_TOWe absolutely love our friheten couch. It took a long time for us to finally decide on what to invest in, and thought we were 'settling' by getting something from ikea, but honestly we couldn't be happier-- it's the perfect couch for our family. We like the fact that the seating area is deep with big cushions, grey fabric that is easy to clean (we have young children). The pullout makes it fun for our toddler, and the extra storage hides all the toys. And the price is very reasonable, which helps.5
Bad Quality - Not expected at allADM1I bought this sofa in Apr 2019, it has just been over a year and the quality has degraded fast. The fabric has wrinkles all over it and looks as if it is 3 4 years old. long hours of sitting on the sofa gives back pains. The spring below the sofa makes sounds and is embarrassing. Also the sofa foam has lost it firmness. Please note this sofa is only used by me and my wife sparingly as we are at work most of the times. The foam on the side panels has become loose and looks like it will fall off. The storage portion is OK but the gap between the joints of the storage area and the main sofa is increasing day by day. the sofa pillows have lost their shape and do not provide the comfort that it provided in the first few months. I have many Ikea products at home & they are extremely satisfying. But this sofa is not, I am sorry.1
Perfect disaster!HD07I bought this cute, lovely looking sofa thinking it would be a great addition for the house but then it broke in few a few months. A very poor quality sofa and definitely not worth $800. Very disappointing! The fabric is of very poor quality, get wrinkly, leaves a print when someone sits on it and the cushion wore out in a few months. the side board is leaned and looks like, it might fall off today or tomorrow.1
More comfortable than I thoughtLauryn007I wanted this for the storage, and the bed pullout. Two friends had already purchased it, one with a a few kids, and mentioned how durable it is. Super comfortable to sleep on, easy to build, even for an 115lb female all on her lonesome! note, shouldn't have s3x on it, as the bed pullout portion will seperate!4
Does the job perfectlyMarouchkaGo try it in store before because it is firmer than other sofas, but that's how we like it! The storage compartment is very nice and I like to sleep on it. Beware of unintended naps!! We bought it relatively recently so we cannot comment on durability. Overall great sofa-bed.5
Thought it was good then it brokeTB80I’ve had this couch for 4 months and barely use it. But I have noticed the fabric is very poor. It shifted all over and is wrinkled and misplaced. Also the back rest is very uncomfortable and I find myself always readjusting to get comfortable. Last night I went to sit on it and the wooden frame snapped and now it’s sagging and the wood is poking out. The only thing that I liked about it is when you pull it out for a bed.2
look good. Broke within 6 months. Never slept on!Laurben11For my apartment (small) this was the perfect fit. Especially for friends/family coming to stay. Yet... no one has been able to stay on it because the pull out section wasn't secure.. as in the staples they use to hold it up.. the couch area is fine except the fabric I requested buckles and looks like someone has sat in the same spot for a while.. that was after 3 months... The pull out section has been used as a foot stool as I haven't had visitors to try it out. .. and I ended up having to twist my own screws in it to make it functional... I bought this in October... hasn't lasted 6 months until I had to re-fix it myself.. and again.. it hasn't been slept on. Im scared to even put any weight on the pull out part.. love the style thought :(1
