Sofa, chaise and double bed in one.

Love itValeryLove this sofa bed, it’s actually the 2nd one I buy! Got one in my cottage and this one for my daughters appartement! They love it! They can welcome Friends over or have a comfy movie night! I wish it was washable and have different patterns but I managed to keep the cottage one almost as new and it’s been 7 years.

Mixed experienceIhorI have this sofa for many years and have a very mixed experience. The material is sturdy and resisted well to attempts of my cat to damage it when he sharped his claws. At the same time it easily becomes dirty and very hard to clean it.
Sofa doesn't work well when transformed into bed - levels of parts don't match, sleeping experience is terrible. Springs started to fell apart immediately, during first month of using. Locks don't work well when sofa transformed into bed - sofa simply doesn't stay together.
worst sofaKirandeepThis is the worst sofa IKEA sells. When you convert it into a bed, it doesn't recline properly. Also, when I tried to pull it out, it came apart. It even separated while I was sitting on the sofa. I'm very disappointed with the quality.

Save your moneyArielNot worth the $1100 I spent on it. The couch wasn't even a year old and the seat seam split completely, foam everywhere. The back cushions constantly fall off because they're not stitched to the couch. The side that doesn't have an arm is sagging and the couch isn't even that comfortable.
Not worth it, not impressed, definitely won't be buying another Ikea couch.
The seam on the seat fully came apartGThe seam on my Friheten has completely come apart. It hasn’t been mistreated and the rest of it is in great shape.
I was relatively happy with this purchase, however it might be the only sofa I’ve ever seen to experience a massive rip in the seam that runs right down the centre of the main seating area. This seems more like a design flaw as I can’t even find a furniture repair company willing to fix it. So it would appear there shouldn’t have been a seam there in the first place
It’s not a cheap product and IKEA offers no support for this kind of defect (10 year warranty eh? Nope, doesn’t apply!)
I’m giving it 2 stars because with proper support from a company that’s worth BILLIONS it wouldn't have been such a waste of my hard earned money.

DO NOT BUY THIS POORLY MADE SOFAHonaraAfter less than a year the lining on the end of our sofa that meets the storage piece started splitting and the foam coming out, we were able to get a replacement under the warranty but again after less than a year the same thing has happened. I’m not being told that we somehow misused our sofa to cause this after only months and that it’s wear and tear. I could not disagree more - if a customer has experienced the same issue twice in such a short span of time this tells me there is a quality control issue with the item because a sofa should not fall apart in a matter of months. This is also after having to reject a few deliveries because of quality standards not being met (ie. twisted stitching, hard creases/dents on the sofa). I’m now dealing with IKEA’s poor customer service offered by the warranty claim department for them to do the right thing and recognize there is a problem with their product!
Needs Some WorkSarahI purchased this couch just over a year ago. My brother had it years ago and it was awesome! Unfortunately, like other reviews the bed part keeps on sliding out. I ended up securing it more with a bracket so it didn’t slide all the way out. The one side of the couch also has a bend on it. The fabric is starting to pill as well as gaps within it. It is very comfortable as a bed if you like firm mattress. I won’t be buying one again and wouldn’t recommend to a friend.

Just after 2 months of use thete is formation of lint on the grey sofa cover and also since we use mostly in bed form the sliding portion comes out easily and it becomes difficult to engage it back . It is on 10 year warranty . Can it be exchanged.

Lasted nearly 9 yearsJoyceBought this couch back in 2017. Its only falling apart now. Looking for a new couch and I keep coming back to this model bc I cant seem to find anything else that hits all of the basic needs at this price. Hopefully, the 2025 model is made to the same quality as it was back then.
definitely room for improvement Maimounai just like the color i got it in and that’s all. the couch itself was a nightmare to assemble, had to watch ytb videos and eventually call a friend for help. after assembly, the pull out part to turn it into a bed is not stable and keeps slipping away from the couch even after trying to fix it which makes it dangerous to use even if you just want to spread your legs. also the storage space is not big enough to contain all 3 of the pillows that come with the couch. and talking about the pillow, they easily fall off!definitely do not recommend it unless you like the color and even that is not that good of a reason to get.
DefectiveSaumyaReceived a defective piece. The part that moves and goes over to make the sofa bed is not working - it stops at a weird angle as one end came broken.

Wish that the drivers from the different logistics companies that Ikea hires to make deliveries had shoe covers when walking through your house...kind of gross as you just never know where their shoes have been, the product (couch) itself is awesome.
