Stylish and affordable MelissaI love the flexibility this couch has to become a sleep space. It provides ample seating without overpowering the room, even in a small apartment
Great for visitors MariaIs a big sofa bed, great if you have visitors and also it is comfortable
Terrible SofaJulieI bought this sofa about a year ago and noticed some major issues within about 6 months. It's incredibly uncomfortable and you can feel the sofa frame through the cushions, which has only worsened with time. Additionally, the fabric choice is not durable for this type of furniture and the fabric starting pilling within about a month or two of having the couch. Overall, we are extremely disappointed with this purchase. We expect a sofa at this price point to be significantly more durable than it is and would not recommend this purchase to anyone else.
Disappointed with Durability and ComfortTszI purchased this IKEA sofa around three years ago, and unfortunately, it hasn’t lived up to expectations. After just one year, the fabric began to fade and develop fluff, making it look worn out far too soon. More importantly, the sofa has become increasingly saggy and unsupportive over time, making it quite uncomfortable to sit on.
Given IKEA’s reputation and the product description promising durability, I’m disappointed with how quickly it deteriorated. I expected better quality and longevity. Would not recommend this sofa for long-term use.
Wont last you for more than 2 years. Bad quality, bad design decisions and bad support for this productGeorginaI bought this IKEA sofa three years ago, and it’s been a disappointment. The fabric started fading after just one year — even though it was kept indoors and out of sunlight. The bed mechanism constantly detaches, and worst of all, the cushions were made with a fragile non-woven fabric on the back that has completely disintegrated from normal use, exposing the filling. I contacted IKEA with photos, but never got a response. When I called, they denied any design flaw — even though they’ve since updated the model to remove the faulty fabric (If that’s not an admission of a problem, what is?). I feel deceived. I didn’t ask for a new sofa — just a reasonable solution for my three damaged cushions.
Sofa is Not Worth Buying!SepehrI purchased this sofa less than a year ago, and unfortunately, I’ve encountered several issues. The color of the sofa has changed to look old and worn out in no time. Additionally, the convertible bed feature has a problem where every time it is converted into a bed, it comes out of its place, which is very frustrating.
I’ve also had terrible experiences with customer service. They don’t care about the customer’s concerns, and all your efforts to resolve the issue will be in vain. Despite sending multiple messages to Ikea’s customer support via email and chat, they haven’t offered any meaningful help.
If you’re considering buying this sofa and want to use the bed feature, I strongly advise against spending your money on this unreliable product.
Pull-Out Bed Keeps Detaching — Poor Design for the PriceZaheenI had high hopes for this couch and really wanted to like it, but the pull-out bed feature has been a huge letdown. Every time I try to use it, the bed detaches from the latch within minutes. I end up wasting time struggling to reattach it, only for it to happen again right away. For the price, I expected a much better, more functional design. It feels like this feature wasn’t properly tested or engineered to actually work in everyday use. Disappointing quality, especially given how much it costs.
Not worth it AnnekaIt did not take long for this couch to become quite uncomfortable. You can easily feel the frame at all the edges. The chaise storage has issues opening. It ended up being not so cheap considering how quickly we have to replace it. Save your time and money.
We love it.DennisJust right for our space, Not bulky yet comfortable.
It Works well so farPingValue for money
Very pleasedPeterThe pull-sofa is attractive, of good quality, easy to assemble, and easy to use
very comfortableYunyunvery comfortable. thinking of buying another one once it's on sale.
So very disappointed 😔 Anonymous reviewerI finally had to replace my 12 year old Friheten, I loved it so much I bought it again. Only it’s not the same, the quality is so shabby in comparison to my old one. There are huge gaps where there weren’t before, the fabric has been so poorly put on and unevenly stretched, and the padding on the pull out bed was not spread out properly before the cover was put on leaving a huge lump to sleep on. Plus there is a big pull in the fabric. See pics. I’m so disappointed but delivery was such a problem I’m too afraid to replace. Come on IKEA, you’re better than this.
Bad Quality SandeepThe sofa I received was such a bad quality I am having a lot of issues while making a sofa to bed, it never stays at its place. When I asked about the exchange they told me to dismantle it and only then they can pick up and exchange. It was so hard to assemble it at first, I did not want to do that all over again. I still have the sofa but I am not at all comfortable using it
Great product!LisaWorth the money & comfortable as sectional & pulled out as a bed.
NiceEarl JasonComfortable
as comfortable as the bedMarybig enough and as comfortable as the bed
Terrible, cheap product JodieThe sofa bed broke and the fabric showed wear with very, very little use in just one year of use.
Terrible quality and serviceAmandaThis sofa bed seemed perfect for what I needed so ordered it online to have it delivered and paid the $60 delivery fee (wouldn’t fit in my car). I realized it was garbage when the ottoman storage lid would not fully close, there was a 1/2” gap, just big enough for my toddler to get his fingers/hands crunched in. There was also a large gap between the two sections of the sofa that are held together with brackets. It was big enough for my toddler to get his arm/foot stuck in and injured. Lastly, there was a large gap between the roll out part of the bed and the main part of the sofa. It looked nothing like the showroom model in the store. It was ugly and VERY UNSAFE for children. I called Ikea to notify them of the quality issue. I sent videos and they agreed it was a quality issue. They said I would get a refund for the sofa and the delivery fee but so far they only refunded me for the sofa, not the $60 delivery fee. I wasted countless hours of my life on this sofa and I’m out $60.
Its an ok Sofa bedChrisI have had this couch for a year. The couch works great as a sofa and a bed, and we find the comfort to be great. The cover material however, is terrible. It’s pilling and losing fiber. I don’t see this couch lasting ten years with the cover deteriorating as much as it has in a year. I have had to put another protective cover on the couch to try and reduce the obvious wear and tear. There are no kids or large pets in the house, so this should not be happening.
