mixed feelingsAnonymous reviewerI have one bought in the return section, and it works smoothly! and then I bought a second one and the curtains keep getting stuck :( It's all about how well the 2 metal parts align with each other. I will be returning this one and buying another one, just in hopes of better alignment. Other than that, it's the best option I tried for the closest-to-the-ceiling look, as I am trying to avoid any visible gaps.
Quick, Easy, DurableNettieThe product does not come with screws which for me was perfect as I used 1/8 hollow metal wall anchors with this product. I extended the rod to the length needed and marked out my holes. I installed my anchors and then screwed the ceiling track on. Very easy and quick. I purchased Rosenrobinia sheer curtains to add to the track. Most IKEA curtains have the slots for the hooks on track :). I have animals who have tripped up in the curtains and the track has held up to abuse. Make sure you use proper anchors if installing in drywall alone, this will ensure durability of your track.

easy to installDeniseEasy to install and no need to buy separate parts unlike that other ikea curtain track system. I like that the track expands to fit the space so no cutting is required either. Only need to supply your own screws and curtains. Sometimes the track catches a bit on the track so it's not as smooth, so maybe keep that in mind if you plan on opening / closing your curtains a lot (not an issue in my case).

NOT easy to install.JuliaI finally had to get a Task Rabbit to do it and even he deviated from the directions and had to re-do it. On the Ikea website they show a girl with a screw driver installing it in 10 minutes. Impossible ! It needs an electric drill. But also the visual instruction could be better.

Love these curtain rods but ..ChetanI love these curtain rods, they are not expensive and were perfect for what I needed but only have one problem. After installing which was super easy, the extension rod lifted a bit which make closing the curtain a bit of a hassle. I just wish there was a way to avoid it. But overall good.
