If you know you will be in your current home or apartment for a long time, this is a decent option. It works well and is a space-efficient option for a guest bed. However, assume that you will never be able to easily move this item once assembled. This bed is basically a large block of glue holding together a bunch of sawdust. I am worried that the particle board will flake and fall apart if I attempt to dismantle and move the bed. In hindsight, I would have gone with a lighter and simpler option (e.g. the stackable beds or a standard futon style bed).3
