I bought this product tobirgitI bought this product to replace the chrome rod I had which always left a black residue. This is clean and light and the curtain hooks move smoothly when opening the shower curtain. At first I didn't think it was going to stay up as the tension was different than the old spring style but once I had it figured out, it went up and has been up ever since.5
goodDanyIt's not what I was used to as a tension rod. With old tension rod, I would place it horizontally and twist the 2 parts of the rod to extend it, make it a little longer and then push it into place, adjusting if it was needed (shorter, if it wouldn't go, or longer if it wasn't tight enough). With the Bortaren, you place it horizontally and twist to fit, then you place the ends on and put it back in place. I used 2 rods, and there were no issues with the first one- everything worked without issue with the first try. With the second rod, it fell soon after install, but the curtain it held was also heavier. I basically reinstalled as I had older tension rods, by trial and error with the extra length required for tension to stay put. All is good.5
Stays on well. Easy toShannonStays on well. Easy to install.5
Curtain rodCandaceI recently bought these shower curtain rods as my window rods as I live in an apartment and didn’t want to drill holes. My curtains are somewhat heavy and they work fantastic, I highly recommend them.5

Good valueKiki911Installed above a tub with shower handle, the opening was 74 inches. So glad I found this at Ikea, took me a couple tries (as with all tension rods) but it works perfectly.4
Tricky to adjustJim who needed 4 charsUnlike other shower curtain rods, this one does not have a built-in spring. Instead, the only springiness holding it in place is that provided by the rubber end pieces. So first you adjust the length just a bit longer than the opening, you lock it, and then you have to force it into place. The price was right, and I guess I'll see after a while whether it maintains its position.3

It’s OkayLesiaI would only recommend this as a temporary solution as it falls down every other day. I am going to install a proper curtain rod for my shower curtain (ie: one that needs to be screwed into the wall) as soon as I am able to get a drill bit for putting screws through tile. But, hey. For the price? I can’t complain too much... it’ll work for now.3
Perfect!Young loveI used this to put a small curtain on a small window in the basement.5
BOTAREN shower curtain rodMrs CeeCeeMGood idea to sell the plastic material rod. The metal ones create rusting on the metal rings and ruins the fabric curtains.4
Great rodAmandaSueI purchased this to use as a curtain rod between two rooms without a door. It fit perfectly and is strong enough to hold two panels. Would be great as a shower curtain rod too. Great price too.5

Didn’t hold upBen 007Had to return it cause it kept falling down , tension wasn’t strong enough . Suggest to put screws at the end of the rod holder .1
Shower curtain rodNfcanadaThis rod doesn't stay very well. You can hardly have any weight on it and it just falls down. We even tried making it bigger and sliding it up and it still fell2
