DisappointingKaren JayceI bought this shelves today. I was looking forward and excited to put it together and make arrangements but to my frustration the screws were a big disappointments. First I tried using the manual screwdrivers, was it maybe it’s my grip? I was struggling. Then i used the electric gun (dewalt), and ask my brother to help me, told myself, maybe it needs a man’s grip! The screws were heating up and still 2 hours after I gave up, I am returning this tomorrow.
Leg heights not the sameGrantIt is a nice looking shelf at a good price point. As other reviews have mentioned, it is challenging to assemble, but overall I found it was manageable. However, 1 of the 4 corner legs is the wrong height. In fact, by quite a significant margin as well (around 1/2 inch). I have needed to use the bottom padding on that leg while the other legs have no additional padding.

A nighmare designAndrewThis is the first ikea product I’ve ever assembled that seems to have failed to take assembly into account. Whoever designed this product did not factor in the fact that the assembler will be using a screwdriver that is wider than the space provided, or the fact that the assembler will also need space for a hand to operate the screwdriver. Having a screw hole that is two millimeters from the underside of a shelf is not ideal.

Great idea but not a fun build.AracelyI really, really wanted to like this Baggebo but it is such a frustrating build. The screws are too short and really need to grip otherwise you risk a shelf being unsecured or unstable. They also need to be positioned just right, otherwise they won't catch. They are particularly hard to screw in on places near a shelf or the metal cage. Once it was built, it was light, steady and serves its purpose but it was frustrating from start to finish. That's why I can't recommend it. The price is right, but the structure could be way better.

Looks great and minimalist yet hard to put together SamayiIf you’re just looking for a cheaper and functional bookshelf then this is for you.
Putting it together is much more incredibly difficult than it seems because although simple in design, the screws are a nightmare to get in. They’re very short, small and need to be wedged into a spot that’s very difficult to get to. Compounded with this, if they’re not screwed in a precise angle then they will not go in!
This is where the frustration comes from. I’ve started and stopped this so many times out of frustration of not getting the screws in. If they went in right away, my estimate is that this would take no more than 20 minutes to put together. But because of the screws I’m going on 3 hours with this (picking it up for an hour at a time in three different occasions). I don’t regret buying it, because the price is unbeatable and it doesn’t look cheap at all.
Just know that it might take much longer than you’d expect to assemble!
