Deceptively Difficult Assembly PaigeI love the colour and look of this shelf. Assembly was frustrating. Tightening the screws at the right angle is difficult, and the holes for the back piece are misaligned on every shelf, so I could only screw it in at the top. I’ve assembled a lot of more complicated and large pieces of IKEA furniture, and have never been as annoyed as I was with this shelf.
Very poorly designedMonicaThis should be a quick shelf to assemble but unfortunately it's horribly designed so it takes forever. They stick the tipping warning stickers on the leg so you'll need to spend 10-15 minutes on that alone and will still be left with tons of white residue all over your new item. Then you will constantly drop screws on the ground as they only fit in at one exact angle with no wiggle room at all. The screw holes are placed extremely close to the shelf so you'll need a super skinny screwdriver or else you won't be able to get them at the precise angle. They will constantly get stuck as you screw them so you'll have to unscrew them each time to try again and then they will fall into the little track under the shelf and you'll have to dig them out of there. You'll do this 24 times and then you'll get a very wobbly crooked shelf. Oh and you'll have to undo screws constantly to try to get things to align for the next shelf.
Weirdly UnevenFraserIt was painful to put together, but once it was done, I couldn’t believe how much it wobbled. It’s completely uneven, somehow the legs don’t have the holes in a consistent place or something. I thought I must have done something wrong but I see others have the same issue with it.
