Bad screws NathanThis was awful to assemble. The screws to attach the drawers to the rails would not go flush, making it impossible to close the drawers. I live 8 hours away from a store so trying to glue it together instead of returning it. Be cautious when putting this one together.

Easy to assembleAlidaBought this for inside my closet to store all the smaller items I reach for everyday. It matches the closet organizer already in my walk-in. I use the bottom draws for larger items and the top for smaller items. The drawers slide open and shut smoothly. Great addition.
Missing parts and stain on one pieceAlejandroI really like my cabinet but one long screw was missing. I can’t believe you guys do not provide spare parts of screws like other companies. Fortunately I had bought a piece of furniture from a different company a few weeks ago who provides spare parts and one of them turned out to be almost the same as the missing one here. They saved me hassle of having to deal with customer service because it was an important screw. Hope you start including spare parts of screws and bolts soon. In addition to that, one of the boards came with a weird strain, fortunately it was the back one so I won’t see it, but imagine if it had been on the side or the front?
Great purchaseKristaThis is probably one of my best purchases from IKEA. This tower is beautiful & sturdy. If you’re looking for organization that can be used alone or in a closet with wire racking, this is the one for you. This is perfect for my extra face serums, creams, sanitizers, vitamins, etc. that cannot be stored in a bathroom with humidity
Alex 9 Drawer UnitDebraI was pleasantly surprised when putting these drawer units together. These are well planned even for someone like me who never uses even a screwdriver, simple to put together. The booklet of instructions that comes in the box are helpful.. I decided I wanted casters on the bottom, but these are not recommended for safety reasons. I found out others have had success installing them, so I decided to install the casters anyway, and ordered a box for each unit. Be aware that because casters are not recommended there are no holes drilled for installation of the casters. I added them regardless and it turned out very well. I wish IKEA would have predrilled for casters but was able to add anyway.
These units hold a LOT of stuff! I got rid of a 3 drawer plastic unit, plus multiple bins in my craft room. Everything is put away in drawers in these units, and it's neat and organized. Only had these for a few weeks but so far they are sturdy and durable. Excellent product!
Sides have bowed outBrieannaWe’ve had our Alex drawers for just over a year and the walls along the side have started to bow outwards over the past couple of months. The drawer sliding pieces are completely coming off and now it feels as thought we may have to throw it out. Really disappointed as I have never encountered an issue like this with any of my Ikea products

Had It put together in 90 minutes and I'm no expertKathleenFollow the instructions and you're good to go! I bought 2 for my sewing room and now everything is organised and labelled. Hardest part was getting it off th shelf, into the cart and then into the car. The boxes are 75 lbs each!! No one to help me at either junction. Ikea gets a fail on that point. I don't have time to go looking around for people to help. Prob would have bought 4 but I was exhausted after that. Don't expect any help on their end or pack it into 2 liftable boxes per unit.

Agree with other negative reviewsMarie-PierI am having issue with the screws provided to fasten the railing to the drawers. The screws either don’t hold in place such that the railing is loose, or they won’t go all the way in and then prevent the drawer from closing smoothly. Very frustrating, IKEA used to be way better than this.

New version is very poor quality. Please avoid!StephanieI've bought Ikea items for decades now and have never had a problem building or using their items. There's another negative review for this item and I experienced the same problems! When trying to put the rails/drawers in, the screws were not strong enough, resulting in a drawer falling out and crashing to my floor, damaging it and the unit. Considering another person had this issue, it feels like we received defective products. The quality of the finish is horrible as well, very cheap and nothing like items I've purchased in the past. I feel like I've wasted my money since they don't take back defective products. If this is how Ikea products are now I will no longer be purchasing furniture from them :(
Great quality and very easy to assembleAndreaI loved the ease of assembly. I purchased 2 for my room and although I am an older lady and I still managed to put them together. The quality of these items were consistent in both and I was quite surprised by the workmanship on them.

What is particleboard?
